will this seal fit the early 97 full door model which has a track to hold the bottom of the door seal and not grommets ?

        • Hello, yes, you shouldn't have any problem using this on your 1997 TJ.

I see that some people have issues with there being some excess seal after covering the perimeter of the door. Is this due to shipping in hot weather changing the original form of the rubber or simply that they are all produced slightly different? These reviews make me hesitant to buy, I am having leaking issues and looking for a solution. Help please!!

Are the OPR Drivers Passengers Side Door Seals (97-06 Jeep Wrangler TJ) made in China?

        • These would be made overseas

Will it fit a jk 2008?

        • No, this OPR Drivers Side Door Seal is designed to fit all 1997-2006 Wrangler TJ models with full doors only.

I have a 1998 Jeep however I bought some 1997 full doors and had them painted for the 98. The 97 doors didn’t have a key when I bought them so I ordered 1998 exterior door locks for the painter to install. He says the the new locks are to long. Is there a difference between the 97/98 exterior door lock cylinders ?

        • The 1997 and 1998 Wranglers should utilize the same door lock cylinders. The OPR Passengers Side Door Seal will also work on both years.

            3 2005 Wrangler Unlimited - MattD72

            Not a great fit!

You can get it to fit on no problem but it causes the door to not close completely unless you slam it. It makes it extremely difficult to open the door from the outside without having to push it closed more to release the locking latch

            Easy Replacement

Good fit for 2006 Wrangler Unlimited, easy install. Will have to slam doors for awhile due to thickness, but seem soft enough to adapt well and seal.

            its OK

I went to install the new door seal. Door seal is larger than the door. Installed it and will see if it keeps water out. Drivers side door seal was manufactured wrong and can not be installed. No shipping receipt in box. Am going to hope they will swap it out for me

The seal is a little longer than the one that was replaced, but it seals up well.

            4 1999 Wrangler - Tuff

            Good seal

The seal is a good quality rubber that was a good upgrade over my old seals. Fit a bit tricky but doable. Had to cut and extra inch out of it but if you think about how you do it, then it's not a major deal. Tight fit and no leaks so far. What we wanted.

Quick and easy replacement. Clips in proper locations. Good overall fit. A little fat but getting worn in and easier to close the door. Happy with product. Solved air noise and rattle issues.

            other door

replaced both door weatherstrips with these products, easy off and easy on, fit well, no issues. Doors will next a little extra effort to close completely the first few times until the rubber settles in. then, good to go.

These aren’t even close to fitting a TJ

I would go with OEM door seals and weather stripping. These weren’t even close to fitting. You would think that ET would check the fitnent every now and then. They probably switch vendors in China and different vendors use different molds.
