Wounded Police Officer Gets Surprised With Jeep Overhaul

Wounded Police Officer Gets Surprised With Jeep Overhaul

Surprise Jeep Build

Local Police Officer and Jeeper Chris Dorman was shot several times after being dispatched on June 24th, 2016 to investigate a report. After seeing the news, the team here at ExtremeTerrain and the Southern Delaware Jeep Club worked with Officer Dorman’s father and local Police and Fire Departments to steal his Jeep for an epic-level overhaul! Officer Dorman’s friends, family, fellow officers and Jeep club members got their hands dirty with us and wrenched around the clock to get his Jeep ready in time for the big surprise reveal.

Step 1 - Sketching A Jeep Built For A Hero

Step 2 - Building An Epic Surprise

George Dorman, Officer Chris Dorman’s father, told us that Chris’ Jeep is “his baby” and that his free time is spent modding and wheeling it. Chris joined a Jeep club close to where he vacations and fishes and drives on the beach when not in uniform. It was clear that the fastest way to lift Chris’ spirits and bring some fun back into his summer would be through his Jeep. ExtremeTerrain was excited to do it; and we wanted to do it big!

With only a few weeks left before Southern Delaware Jeep Club’s huge beach party, it was the perfect opportunity to unveil the Jeep in front of his fellow club members. ExtremeTerrain and SDJC worked with local Police and Fire Departments to steal Chris’ Jeep motorcade-style and deliver it to our headquarters for an insane round of mods. The install list was long, but after a few weeks of working around the clock, we completely transformed his Jeep with nearly $25,000 worth of parts.

Step 3 - Pulling Off The Reveal

After weeks of being separated from his Jeep, thinking it was in the shop for some routine maintenance while he was healing up, we were ready to reunite Chris with his transformed JK. XT headed down to the SDJC Summer Beach Bash in Bowers Beach, DE to surprise Chris with his new Jeep in front of his club, family, friends and fellow Police Officers. Equipped with a new supercharger, 4” lift, full armor package, off-road lighting and new wheels wrapped in 37” tires, Chris was surprised with the ultimate 2-door ready for any terrain.

"I'm proud of our team for building such a mean-looking and capable Jeep for Officer Dorman. Projects like this are what makes the Jeep community great!"

- Steve Voudouris, CEO of ExtremeTerrain
