Hey, guys. So today, we're checking out the N-Fab Cab Length Podium Nerf Side Step Bars, fitting all 2018 and newer 4 Door JL Wranglers. So if you're in search of a side step that's going to fill up that wheel-to-wheel space with something stylish as well as functional, this option by N-Fab's gonna be a really good choice to take a look at. This is gonna have a large drop-down step with a thin plate here, to help you with easy access getting in and out of your Wrangler, as well as your passengers. And it's even great for accessing the top of your jeep if you have a roof rack installed or just helping you take those freedom panels off. And the plate on the bottom is going to be thin to help you out with some extra traction in those wetter days, being very functional. And you even get N-Fab stamped in the middle of the plate for a little bit of extra styling. Now not only are these going to be functional when helping you get in and out of your Wrangler, but they're also going to be durable as well, made of a stainless steel construction. Now that is going to be for some lighter protection, I would not recommend these to the heavy-duty offroader that wants that heavy-duty protection for their rocker. This is gonna be more for those lighter trails, as well as any door dings in the parking lot. But these definitely will be able to stand up to really a lot of abuse and protect that rocker area. Now, I also like the fact that this has a fine texture, black powder-coat finish. It makes this step look very sleek, and it's also gonna protect that stainless steel underneath. With all that being said, these are going to be roughly $450, and in my personal opinion, I think that that's a pretty good price for the quality that you're getting out of this step. Now in comparison to some other choices for side steps, some lesser expensive options are usually gonna be a little bit more of a basic design. They may not have a drop-down step, they may just be for a running board design and not really tuck up to the rocker like this one does. Now, on the other hand, some more expensive options are usually just gonna have some extra bells and whistles. Maybe instead of a drop-down step, they'll have a removable step that's both for the daily driver and the avid offroader. But in my personal opinion, I think if you're looking for something that's gonna help you out with easy accessibility for your cab area and your roof area and you're looking for something stylish, as well, this choice by N-Fab is gonna be a great one to check out.So install is gonna be very easy as well. That high-quality construction really shows in the install and the fitment. So I'm gonna give this a one-out-of-three wrenches on the difficulty meter, with some very basic hand tools. So speaking of that install, let's jump to that now.The tools that I used for my install were an impact wrench, a 13-millimeter ratcheting wrench, a quarter-inch drive ratchet, and a 13-millimeter deep socket. So to kick off this install, you wanna make sure that you have the correct side. We're gonna be on the driver side, and that's gonna have just a little bit of space up at the front, here. You're also gonna wanna have your hardware staged. It's going to be the six shorter bolts with the flange nuts, and the three longer bolts for the body, and then we can head underneath our jeep.So what we can do is press this into place, making sure that the mounts are lining up and the plate is facing the front. I'm just gonna place two of our pinch weld bolts in for the time being, just so we can have this hang here while we secure the rest of our bolts down. So we're gonna take those smaller bolts and put those through our pinch weld. And we can take the flange nut, snug that up. Now we're gonna wait till the end to tighten everything down, but we wanna make sure that everything goes through first. So we'll start with the bottom pinch weld bolts, then we can move up to the body bolt and thread that into place. This is going to be the longer 13-millimeter bolt that does not have a nut provided. Again, we don't need to tighten these up all the way just yet. We'll do that at the end.Now that the back is secure, we can move to the middle and then to the front. So, like you saw before, I just secured this down with the bolts facing backwards. We're just gonna flip these around, making sure that the nut is inside the pinch weld, then you do the same for the other one. You may have to support it a little bit. Doesn't that thread nicely?. Then last, but not least, we can do the body bolt. Then we can head up to the front. All right, so now that all of our hardware's in place, we can tighten these down. I'm gonna use a 13-millimeter socket for the body bolt, and a 13-millimeter socket and 13-millimeter wrench for the pinch weld bolts. All right, then we can repeat that for the other two mounts. After everything's tightened up on the driver's side, you can repeat that same process on the passenger side, and then you'll be all set to go.So that's gonna wrap it up for my review and install, make sure you like and subscribe. Works for us!
Nerf side step bar was delivered quickly, easily installed after we obtained the correct bolts. One nut and one bolt were missing. Using the ones from the old rock slider rail until the replacements arrive. Very happy with the product.Helpful (2)

I looked for steps which would be rugged and yet offer ease of entry for my Wrangler Mojito! I chose the N-Fab Podium Nerfs because they have a good look and are very functional. The steps were easy to install. I suggest you get a friend to help with the initial mounting until you get a bolt or two in the holes to support them. A little pricey, but well worth the money. No complaints. I look forward to many years of use.Helpful (4)
