Hey, guys. It's Sara with extremeterrain.com and today, we have a review and install of the N-FAB Cab Length RS Nerf Side Step Bars in textured black, fitting your '18 and newer Jeep Wrangler JL 4 Door. These are perfect for the Jeep owner who wants to have the convenience of a step to their Jeep, and wants a tough steel option with a drop step design and textured black finish. These steps feature 2-inch wide tubular steel construction with a textured black powder coat finish, and anti-slip raised steel step plates. They provide a step for ease of entry, especially if your Jeep is lifted, and they add a bit of side and rocker panel protection as a bonus. They are tucked up nice and tight to your Jeep, to give your rocker panel and pinch weld area a more finished look. And the drop-step design gives your Jeep a style upgrade as well. So, as far as price goes, these steps come in at around $400 for the pair, which is low to middle-of-the-road price-wise when compared to other options. And for your money, you are getting the style and practicality for these drop steps, with some added protection to go with it. And as far as the install goes, I'm giving this one a very easy one out of three wrenches. Does feature a direct bolt-up installation that can be done in under two hours. So, with that said, let's check out the install. For this install, we used an impact gun, but a regular ratchet will work just fine. You'll also need a 12-millimeter socket, a 13-millimeter wrench or a socket, and an additional 13-millimeter wrench to hold the other side. All right, so the first step in our install is to grab the step itself and get it lined up on your Jeep. Now we're going to line like this, from the top, but then you're going to either need a friend or to support at both ends, while we go underneath to get it bolted up. All right. Now the first thing we're going to do is line up the bracket to the bottom of your Jeep. Now this may be hard to see. We are threading in the hex hardware that comes with the washer pre-installed. And again, make sure that this step is supported while you're underneath it. Then it is slotted here, so there is some adjustment. We're going to tighten it down for now and if we're going to make any adjustment, we can do so later. Grab a 12-millimeter socket, and tighten it down. Now at this point, we also want to line up the other two bolts, one in each side of the bracket. And, again, it might be a little hard to see. We're using the other hex bolt with no washer as well as a nut on the other side. We're coming in from the front side with the bolts, and then we're doing the nut on the backside underneath the Jeep. Then with two 13-millimeter wrenches, tighten these down. Now we are moving on to the rearmost mounting point. Just so we can support each side, we're going to do this one next. Same thing, we are threading in the hex bolt with the washer already on it into the body of the Jeep, and with a 12-millimeter socket, tightening it down. Next up, going it through the pinch weld area, using a hex bolt as well as a nut on the other side. And this back one may be a little hard to see, but same process, through the pinch weld as well as the step bracket. And with two 13-millimeter wrenches, we're going to tighten it down. And finally, this center mounting point, same thing, thread in your bolt into the body, 12-millimeter socket, tighten it down. Now we're going through the pinch weld with the rest of the hardware. Then with your 13-millimeter wrenches, tighten it down. All right. Now that your passenger side is installed, repeat all those steps to install your driver's side. And then that is going to do it for the review and install of these drop steps. And remember, for all things JL, keep it at extremeterrain.com.
