Competition Stubby Front Bumper. The Motobilt Stubby Front Bumper in bare steel is engineered to provide a compact and robust mounting solution specifically designed for Jeep YJ, TJ, and LJ models. It serves as a durable front bumper that enhances vehicle approach angles while offering reliable mounting points for heavy-duty recovery equipment such as winches and D-rings. This bumper improves off-road capability and protection without extending beyond the frame rails.

Construction and Appearance. This bumper is crafted from 3/16 inch high strength steel plate, CNC laser cut to precise specifications, and then precision formed using a hydraulic press brake for accurate shaping. It ships in a bare metal finish to allow for custom paint or powder coating. The fully welded construction includes thick 3/4 inch steel D-ring mounts that pass through the bumper body and feature welded brackets on both sides for exceptional strength and durability.

Installation. Installation is moderately difficult and utilizes existing factory hardware, typically requiring no drilling. It is designed for a bolt-on fitment to the frame rails, making it a straightforward upgrade for Jeep owners.

Application. This bumper fits Jeep Wrangler YJ and TJ models from 1987 to 2006. Note that the Warn VR and VR EVO series winches may require a spacer or modification to the D-ring mounts for proper clearance, and the Badlands Apex 1200 winch is incompatible due to interference with the D-ring mounts.
