The Motobilt rear Jeep CJ (1976-1986) cross member is a perfect solution for those wanting to replace a bent or rusted out factory rear cross member. Over the years we have seen many Jeep Wrangler CJ's needing a replacement for the rear cross member. Often times due to someone attaching a snatch strap or chain to the thin factory Jeep cross member.

The Motobilt cross member is fabricated from heavy duty 3/16 inch steel plate. The rear cross member retains the factory bolt holes for the rear bumper and gas tank skid.

The cross member also provides mounting holes for the factory corner body mount bushings. The cross member ships ready to install. Installation does require welding. It is highly recommended using a professional welder for the installation. The cross member is shipped out bare steel ready to install.
