Description
Frame Repair Solution. The Rear Axle Front Spring Hanger Frame Repair Kit is engineered to restore the critical section of the frame just ahead of the rear axle where the spring hanger mounts. This kit reinforces and repairs Jeep CJ frames exhibiting rust or weaknesses, preserving structural integrity and providing a solid mounting point for the rear springs. This helps to maintain proper suspension alignment and overall vehicle safety.
Construction and Appearance. Fabricated from sturdy 10 gauge steel with an option to upgrade to heavier 7 gauge steel for enhanced durability, the kit includes four precisely engineered plates to fit the frame’s interior, bottom, and outer surfaces. The plates come with a clean, raw metal finish, ready for welding and subsequent surface treatment after installation.
Installation. Installation requires moderate expertise and should be carried out by a qualified welder due to the welding and cutting involved. The existing spring hanger must be carefully removed and reinstalled as part of the repair process. No drilling is required.
Application. Specifically designed to fit 76-86 Jeep CJ7.
