I am currently running the M.O.R.E trans/oilpan skid plate with the artec .250 inch cross member . This transfer case skid plate looks like it uses the same.mounting points on the cross member as the trans/oil pan skid plate . I'm a bit worried about fitment . Can you shed some light on this before I purchase this.
The Artec Industries HD Crossmember (item #J104266-A) will absolutely work with this M.O.R.E. Transfer Case Skid Plate no problem. The Crossmember is a direct fit for stock applications, so being as that skid plate can install up to a stock application, it's safe to say they will work with each other!
Hello, What exactly will this skid plte protect over the factory skids? And a review of it said that the nuts provided didn't fit the bolts, and had to be replaced. Has this been adddressed. Thanks.
Hello, this skid plate would protect your transfer case from any damage. This is more durable and provides more coverage than the factory skid plate. That issue should have been addressed, but if there are any issues with the hardware please call or send us an email and we can help you out with your problem. http://www.extremeterrain.com/contact.html

Feels substantial, does the job, good price!
This is the first skid plate we added to our factory skids and it felt very substantial when handling it. The manufacturer's install directions were confusing (we think they printed a photo backwards). But, once we figured that out, it was easy to install. Also, the manufacturer's nuts did not thread onto the bolts they provided. After much wrestling, we replaced the nuts with Grade 8, 1/2"-13 hex nuts. If you know those two things in advance, then the install isn't difficult. After the install, we took the jeep out rock crawling. We put a few scratches on it but, really, it has held up like a dream. I have a lot of confidence in this product.
