Installation Instructions:

1. Install Jeep rubber receiver hitch cover prior to installing hitch on the Jeep by slipping the loop end over the end of the hitch and pressing the cover firmly in to hitch opening

2. Locate four mounting holes in the frame behind the rear bumper that will align with mounting holes in hitch

3. Align hitch mounting holes with frame mounting holes

4. Install bolts included with the kit through hitch and frame mounting holes and hand tighten (Note: Use caution as there are sharp edges on the muffler and muffler heat shield. Also, to angle the bolts correctly in order to get them into the mounting holes, the bolt heads will need to be above the muffler.)

5. Using torque wrench and 18mm socket, tighten the four bolts to 80 ft-lbs ( /- 10 ft-lbs) (Note: It is good practice to alternate between bolts when tightening to full spec, not simply tightening one to full spec before tightening any of the others. Also, once all bolts are tightened individually, re-check each of the bolts at least twice to ensure they are all tightened to torque spec.)

6. Fasten 4-way flat wiring harness end to hitch mounting point if desired (wiring harness sold separately)
