        Improved Performance. Providing more torque and horsepower for moving your 2000-2006 TJ Wrangler over the trail or out of a sticky situations, the MBRP Black Series Cat-Back Exhaust is an elegantly straight forward single side exit exhaust system. Growling fiercely during acceleration, it settles into a mellow, rich rumble when you're cruising or driving at a fairly steady speed. Besides a welcome boost in horsepower and torque, the MBRP Black Series often produces +1-2 mpg additional fuel economy, depending on your Wrangler's exact configuration. The large black tip looks strong but stealthy, giving a unique look to your Jeep, too.

        Bolt-On, Tough. The MBRP Black Series Cat-Back Exhaust is made with a bolt-on setup that doesn't need drilling or modification to install, and comes with all necessary hardware. The system features aluminized steel construction with 2.5-inch tubing and a 3.5-inch tip, all black coated for appearance and additional corrosion proofing. All parts are laser-cut for an easy, exact fit, and the Cat-Back comes with a 3 year system warranty and a 1 year finish warranty (limited).

        Application. The MBRP Black Series Cat-Back Exhaust is designed to fit 2000-2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ models, excluding Unlimited.

        in my search this does say that this system will fit the tj unlimited 2004 model. though in the Q A section is says it will not fit properly. Was there a change done over the years?

The title states it is for the unlimited but the answers say it will NOT work for an unlimited. Confused.           WOW!

          After a knock developed in the exhaust system I decided to replace both the muffler and catalytic converter. Glad I did as after taking them apart and cutting them open I found 6 pieces of catalyst floating around in both the converter section and the the muffler. That explained the knocking and also the intermittant loss of power as the chunks would sometimes get into the pipes in the muffler chamber. After replacing both sections my old TJ runs and sounds like new! My top end is back. It has never run better! The exhaust tip also looks great and changes the tone to a slightly lower note. Great sound but still quiet. I could not be happier! Side Note: Extreme Terrain has been great to deal with, I have ordered several items for my jeep and their customer support is excellent!

          Installed on my 06 TJ and along with new cat converter set up from Summit Racing and my TJ is sounding and running perfectly now. Had O2 sensor check engine light for over a year now and its officially gone! Took approx. 2.5 hrs to get old rusty cat and muffler off due to rusted hard to reach bolts, but had it all back together in 1hr. Very pleased with my purchase.

          Decent upgrade for the money!!

          My 05 LJ had both rear exhaust hangers dangling and slapping on my frame every time I went over a bump. I really didn’t feel like spending $4-600 on a high quality cat back for my weekend warrior rig. All in all pretty impressed with being able to freshen up the look under my LJ for around $200. I had my local shop throw it in for $50. It came with all the necessary hardware to mount. It seemed easy enough to do myself but I didn’t have the tools or time to get to it. The exhaust note is just a tiny bit louder than stock. I bought it more for the aesthetics of cleaning up my old rusted exhaust but am impressed with the quality and price.

          MUCH BETTER!

          I had previously had a flow master exhaust installed on my 2005 TJ for about 6 years until it rusted out and the welds snapped. I ordered this exhaust, 1-day shipped it, and had it installed that next day. It is so much better! My flow master was pretty obnoxious (as in I wake up the neighbors at 3 am when I go to work). The MBRP exhaust has that deep, throaty sound when in idle and with light acceleration and gets quite a bit louder/a bit more high pitched when you hammer down. Of course it’s not going to make my straight 6 sound like a big block but it gives it a nice sound versus the stock, whisper quiet exhaust. She seems to have a bit more get-up-and-go as well. Well worth the money! It doesn’t come with all new mounting brackets though which I needed.

          I was looking for a replacement for my rotted out stock exhaust. Found this one at a reasonable price. Solid Cat back, a bit more throaty than stock and makes the Jeep sound great!

          Nice sound

          The install was trouble free and the sound is a great improvement. The only thing I don’t like is that the chrome extension rest on the bottom of the rear bumper so I can’t use it until I get the pipe bent so it won’t melt extension on my bumper. With that being said good price and good sound. Well worth the money.

          Louder than I thought it would be.

          Great product. Everything was included, very high quality material. My bolts were a little stubborn, but got my stock off pretty easily. I wished I would not have taken off the skid plate. I did not realize the entire drivetrain is supported by the skid plate. Getting it back on was tough! After got it all installed and tightened, started up the Jeep and was very surprised by the sound. It had a deep tone and pretty loud inside. I love the sound of it, especially accelerating. Great price, great product, highly recommended.

          Great sounding exhaust

          Package came complete with all hardware, quality as expected. I installed it within 45 minutes, although I had a lift and power tools. It gives great exhaust note as well atleast 5 extra horses. Jeep drives great and I love the sound.
