    5 Top Rated Questions

If I purchase this lift kit, do I need to purchase anything else or make any modifications to the jeep? I was once told that any lift kit bigger than 3 in required modifications to the drive shaft. What about the exhaust spacer, is it required?

    • The JKS Jspec 3.5 in. Lift Kit (07-17 Wrangler JK 4-Door) would be a pretty complete kit. If you are using the Jeep primarily for off roading I will then recommend a longer driveshaft, to gain the full articulation of the suspension. For a daily driven Jeep, an exhaust spacer will do just fine.

With a heavy front bumper and winch..how much sag will the front end have..how long are the spring warranty..thank you

    • Hello! How much your Wrangler sags is dependent on many factors, so it is hard to say, however most of these springs are built in mind that people will be putting heavy aftermarket bumpers on! JKS has a limited lifetime warranty!

I just change my front track bar for a adjustable one, can you sell this kit with out the front track bar?

    • Unfortunately we do not carry this JKS Jspec 3.5 in. Lift Kit: item J103255, without the trackbar. We solely have the kit which includes the trackbar at this time.

Will I need adjustable ball joints for this lift? Stock ones are shot and I was wondering if I should get adjustable ones or go for the teraflex heavy duty ball joints

    • Adjustable ball joints are not required for the JKS Jspec 3.5 in. Lift Kit, but can be used. We recommend the Heavy duty ball joints unless you intend on adding more lift at a later date.

I have a 2011 2dr sport do I have to worry about drive shafts with this lift ? Do I need them right away ? Or is it something that I can upgrade later ?

    • When installing the JKS Jspec 3.5 in. Lift Kit driveshafts may be required depending on the useage of the vehicle. For a mostly on road vehicle, the stock driveshafts should be ok, but using the Jeep off road, and using the full articulation of the suspension, driveshafts would be needed to prevent issues.

Review from JKS Jspec 3.5 in. Lift Kit (07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK 4 Door)

      Great product

Well built lift kit. Bought the lowest priced 3.5” kit and added front lower control arms, exhaust spacer kit and rear adjustable sway bar end links. In the future I will upgrade to adjustable upper and lower front/rear control arms. I have also purchased a teraflex high angle front drive shaft cv boot to replace the factory one when it eventually fails with future plans for new/stronger driveshafts. Did not have any major issues with install besides a rusted broken bolt when installing the exhaust spacers that gave me some trouble.

happy to have this one behind me

The lift kit was in good shape with reasonably good direction. Fortunately my buddy had put one in a year ago and could get us through some bumpy spots in the directions. He also had two jacks and 4 fixed jacks. Makes a huge difference.

      Great Start

If you're piecing together a kit, this is a great place to start. Similar ride to factory with added clearance on the trail. Front flexes it great. Not so much in the rear but quite certain the sway bar is hurting me there. Had to get new pin rings for the discos though.

      Comfortable ride

Just picked it up today, the ride is better than I expected. 33" Mickey Thompson Baja and still pretty smooth on the street. Glad I went with the 3.5 lift weights the this tire, so much clearance. Now to try it in the mud!

      2008 wrangler 3.5 in lift

Wish it had better step by step instructions. It had ok instructions but there was a lot of guessing. It would have been a lot easier if it had pictures for every step. Over all pretty satisfied with the life besides the instructions. Rides smooth with the 35’s I installed. Only reason it took the full day was because the hobby shop we used lacked tools.

      Amazing Lift Kit

After doing a lot of research and test rides from fellow Jeepers, I decided on this kit and I am very glad I did. It's built solid, the ride is beyond smooth even at 80 mph, on the trails it handles like a champ. I added the rear Trackbar and the control arm kit and it made all the difference. It cost more than most but worth every penny, you can see that JKS uses only top level materials to make their products. If you can afford it, this is a kit you wont regret!

      Jks 3.5" lift

This is a great high quality lift kit that is worth the price. Easy installation with basic tools and jackstands. It took me 5 hours to install. Make sure you pb blast all nuts ahead of time for easy removal of the front shocks. I have had the kit on my jku for 3 months and have not seen any sag even with heavy duty bumpers and a winch.

Review from JKS Jspec 3.5 in. Lift Kit (07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK 4 Door)

      Great value for the price!

I chose this kit because of the "extras" that come with this kit. From the Fox shocks to the quicker disconnects to the adjustable front track bar. This kit has things that most less at this price don't have. Installation was not bad for a guy with not much car knowledge at all. The directions ate VERY detailed and they tell you step by step what to do. It does take much longer than the 6-8 hours they say it might. It took me more like 22. But well worth it to save some money. I definitely recommend this kit to anyone looking for a 3.5" lift. I got 34" tires underneath and it has plenty of clearance for that. ExtremeTerrain.com was helpful with my order decision as well as VERY fast shipping! Black Friday order and I had it by that Tuesday night.
