Description
Maintain Third Brake Light Visibility. Keep your spare tire carrier third brake light visible with this Third Brake Light Extension Bracket in Carbide Black. Carrying a larger spare tire can obstruct your tire carrier's third brake light, so you lose this safety device’s function. This third brake light extension bracket is designed to extend the height of your third brake light, enabling its visibility even when carrying a larger off-road tire. This factor makes this extension bracket a more efficient — and economical – option for purchasing and installing an aftermarket tire-mounted third brake light.
Sturdy Build Quality. This third brake light extension bracket starts as heavy-gauge plate steel, making it extremely tough. This plate steel is then precision-cut and machine-formed, offering an exact fit when installed. Rounding out its construction is a wear-resistant carbide black powder coat finish for superior corrosion protection and rugged good looks.
No-Nonsense Installation. This third brake light extension bracket will require you to cut the pillar that holds the third brake light assembly to the spare tire carrier. You will then drill a few holes before mounting the two halves of the cut pillar onto the extension bracket. Some wiring work may also be needed to extend the electrical lines that supply the third brake light with power. Other than these steps, installation is a relatively straightforward process that requires just standard hand tools to complete.
