Eliminate Play Caused By A Worn Steering Shaft Coupler. Also known as a “Bell Coupler” due to its similar shape, your Jeep CJ’s lower steering column coupler clamps the lower steering shaft onto the upper splined portion of the steering gearbox, forming an important link in the steering system. When this bell couple wears from excessive use or corrosion, it may create play within the splines or allow the shaft and coupler to rotate independently of one another when steering instead of locking together. In these scenarios, replacing the bell coupler is necessary.

Manufactured To OE-Specifications. This bell coupler is engineered and manufactured to perfectly replicate the original part, matching the splines of the steering gearbox and ensuring a perfect fit and identical functionality.

Only For Jeeps Equipped With Power Steering. On Jeep’s equipped with factory power-assisted steering, the steering shaft is larger than its manual counterpart. This steering shaft requires a larger bell coupler, making the two non-interchangeable. This product is the larger of the two, making it only compatible with Jeep CJ’s equipped with factory power steering.

Warranty. This part includes a 5-Year, Limited Warranty against defects in manufacturing.
