Description
Set the Soundstage. Your Wrangler JK’s pillar-mounted speakers can be considered one of your vehicle’s sound system’s weak points. Aside from their merely passable quality, they’re mounted in an upward-firing orientation, which doesn't maximize their acoustic characteristics. These Pillar-Pods with Kicker 4-Inch Speakers solve all these issues. This speaker and enclosure kit includes a pair of premium Kicker 4-inch coaxials, which mounts facing towards the interior of the cab. This forward-firing orientation creates the most efficient soundstage possible, enabling you to really hear the music as it was meant to sound.
Premium Kicker Speakers. This kit includes a pair of 4-inch Kicker coaxial speakers, which come with qualities that maximize the pillar pods. Specifically, these speakers are capable of up to 25 watts of RMS, and 50 watts of peak power with an impedance of 4 ohms. Furthermore, the sound is produced by a polypropylene woofer and a PEI tweeter, both of which are highly resistant to moisture. What’s more, these speakers feature an energy-efficient design so they don’t need a lot of energy to run, but are robust enough to handle higher power ratings. What this means is that you don’t have to change these speakers when upgrading to a more powerful sound system.
Brawny Build Quality. The pillar pod enclosures are manufactured from high-grade ABS plastic using an advanced injection-molding process. The result is a pair of enclosures that offer extreme durability as well as a consistent structure that won’t affect sound quality. These pods also include polyfill material that’s designed to dampen vibration for superior sound quality. Lastly, these enclosures are available in black to match the look of your Jeep’s interiors.
No Nonsense Install Procedure. These pillar-pods are designed to mount over the in-dash tweeters located near the windshield pillars. Minor drilling is needed to attach the enclosures onto your Jeep’s plastic pillar trim panels. The Kicker speakers for their part will connect with the factory speaker harness using the included pigtails.
Application. The Pillar-Pods with Kicker 4-Inch Speakers fit all 2015 to 2018 Jeep Wrangler JK models without the Alpine sound system.
