Note: LocTite or something similar is recommended on all bolts during installation.

1. Open hood

2. Use a Phillips screwdriver to unthread the clips across the top of your Jeep grille, and carefully use a straight slot screwdriver or trim removal tool to pop clips out of the grille. (Figure 1)

3. Carefully pivot the top edge of grille forward. Notice the row of clips along the bottom side of grille and the wires connected to the turn signals. Pop the lower part of the grille loose from the chassis, but do not remove the grille from the vehicle yet. (Figure 2)

4. Disconnect the wiring harness plugs on each of the lights. Notice the small red tab on each plug. This tab needs to be pulled out and then the harness should be able to unclip from the light. Refer to your Jeep Manual for detailed instructions if needed. (Figure 3 & 4)

5. Remove the grille from the vehicle. (Figure 5)

6. Position a Drake Offroad Billet Grille Insert into the grille. (Figure 6)

7. Use two of the brackets provided and position them on the backside of grille. Each bracket has an arched shape near the end that will fit over the Jeep grille. Position one bracket towards each end of the billet insert and secure thru small holes between ribs of the insert with the hardware provided. Using a 2.5mm allen wrench carefully snug down all bolts evenly until grille insert is secured tightly. Do not overtighten! (Figure 7-9)

8. Repeat previous step to install the remaining grille inserts. (Figure 10)

9. Install grille using opposite of removal.
