Justin: The American Tactical Grille Insert that we have here today will be an affordable way to add a little bit more freedom to the front-end of that 2018 and newer JL at home. Now, this extremely popular option will feature a durable aluminum alloy construction along with the Tactical American flag paint job and top coat all for right around that low to mid $100 price point. Adding a grille insert like this is a very popular and very easy way to customize your Jeep, and as such, you're going to find a ton of options back on XT if you did want to see what else we had available for your JL before ultimately pulling the trigger. Now, for this video, we are featuring the American Tactical Insert here which is certainly one of our most popular options. If you didn't know, the insert itself here is going to live right between your factory grille and your radiator, and will proudly display the flag in I would say a more subdued manner thanks to the kind of the gray and black tones that make up this tactical option. If you really dig showing off your patriotism in the grille area but maybe you would prefer more of the traditional red, white, and blue pattern, well, you can certainly find that on the site as well. But let's shift our focus over to the materials here, guys. And again, what you will find with this piece is a high-strength perforated aluminum build. That perforation, or basically, all the holes in the piece here or the insert does allow for plenty of airflow to your radiator so your JL does stay nice and cool. Now, materials aside, guys, the highlight with this option really is pretty self-explanatory, and that is the tactical American flag graphic that has been applied using a high-quality paint before being finished off in kind of a satin clear coat here just to help add some durability to that finish over the years. Before we get into the install, I do want to remind you guys to check out the numerous 4 and 5 star reviews on the tactical insert along with the corresponding customer-submitted images which will no doubt give you a much better idea of how this option might look on your own JL at home. But now, we do want to switch our focus over to the install, and site's going to call this a pretty solid 1 out of 3 wrenches on the difficulty meter, and maybe 30 minutes or so, give or take, to complete from start to finish. But to give you a better idea just how things will go down on your JL at home, here's an XT customer to walk you through it now.Man: These are the tools we're going to need, a moving blanket to protect the grille so it doesn't get scratched when we take it off, a Torx 20 bit on that drill driver, a little pry tool for the plastic tabs, and a slotted regular screwdriver should be all the tools we need. The first step is to remove the six plastic tabs, one, two, three, four, five here, and a sixth one here, we'll pop those up and come right back.Pry tool, pop up the center piece, pull up the middle, it comes out, and then, the base will come out after that. Keep these together so you don't lose them. There's one. We'll go through and do all these now. There's that part, and then, the base comes out.We should probably come back when I do them all. There's two. Pop that up. Slide it up. There's the pin, we pull it up, and we pull the base up. Now that you've got all six tabs, back up a little bit, we're going to pull gently. There's six pins, pressure pins down here, and a couple right here. They say just pull towards you, and this will all just come right out. I'm going to give it a firm little pull. They say it does, there we go. There it is.Pop that. Now, I've got the grille out. This is the inside of the grille. And as you can see, we've got these little 20 Torx bits right here, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8. I'm going to take all those out now. Here we go. One, two, three, four. And then, this center piece comes out, we get the slotted screwdriver in these little tabs right here. See these tabs, one, two, three? We have to pop these tabs for this whole piece to come out.We also have to remove these little white guys right here for it to pop out. I'm going to push these, and they'll release. There's a little tab on there. This little tab comes down. Let me just push them out. There's that one. Okay. The last one. Okay, this is probably the hardest part, is getting these little tabs all to release without snapping back in place. We've got to just pry this up a little bit and push the tab under it like that. That one's released. We go over here, I'm going to work this side first. There's another one right there, there's one a little under, push this tab like that. There's another one. I'm going to do all the ones on this top side, then I'll flip it over. Now, there's that. Now, this one. Okay. Now, I'm going to flip this around and get the other sides. Now that the one tab's off, this is relatively easy I think. Now, that. There you go. There, there's one piece. There is that one. And there's the center piece, almost. Okay. Two, I'll just do like that, angle it off. Okay. We've got the whole grille off right now. Special note, it says for Sahara and Rubicon owners, and this is a Sahara, it says you must replace the 4 T20 Torx screws on the lower rear of your grille before installing your insert. That would be these four, one, two, three, four. This is the lower part of the grille facing away from me. I'm going to put these screws back in, the 4 T20s. Let me get the screwdriver. Now, we put the grille back in place, and then, we'll slide the insert in. See, we're going to rest the grille, put it in here, and rest it on the bottoms of these clips right here, and make sure it's centered. Right there. It's resting on these six mounts here. We'll make sure it's centered. And then, line up these clips like so.Just give it a pop. It's looking good. Okay. Now, we just have to put the little plastic tabs back in and push this in place. Put the base in first, and then, the pin after that. There we go. There's one. This is very easy. On a scale of 1 to 10, this is like a 1. All right.Justin: If you are looking to add a little bit more America to the front-end of your 2018 and newer JL at home, then be sure to check out this American Tactical Insert right here at extremeterrain.com.
