I was just wonder how to set up the wires. I've seen others that come with a wire to run from the switches to the battery. It's just a single wire running from the switches to the battery so the battery doesn't blow out. So I was just wondering if this came with other wires and if not how to set them all up?

        • The Daystar A-Pillar Switch Pod will not include switches or wires. There will not be a single best way to run the wiring for these, as there are multiple different ways to wire your lights depending on your preferences, the number of lights run on each circuit, and their current draw. For the safest install, I personally prefer ground side switches (no b+ run to your switches) with the lights run off of relays mounted near the battery. If using illuminated switches this would require power to the switches for the illumination. You can also run switches direct to power and run with or without relays in both setups.

I purchased this apparently accidentally, I thought it was for 2010-2017. My wrangler is a 2012 - will this still fit?

        • The Daystar A-Pillar Switch Pod would not fit a 2012 model due to differences in the interior. Please contact our Customer Service department to process a return.

        • Hello, on the Daystar A-Pillar Switch Pod (07-10 Wrangler JK) you can use the Daystar Rocker Switch - Green Light (87-17 Wrangler YJ, TJ, & JK) (you can also choose different colors) and you can find here: http://www.extremeterrain.com/daystar-rocker-switch-green-ku80012.html or you can also get the Daystar A-Pillar Switch Pod - w/ Switches (07-10 Wrangler JK) (make sure to select your correct year range) which already come with the Switches, and you can find that here: http://www.extremeterrain.com/daystar-a-pillar-switch-pod-jk-kj71044bk.html

Fit was good. Cut outs for switches was a little challenging. Only reason not to give it 5 stars.

            Day start switch pod

Super easy install. The only negative is the fit along the pillar is a little sloppy. You can do a little trimming if desired to clean it up where it matches existing trim

            Pertfect Switch Pod!

I really like this switch pod. It really does look OEM. It fit perfect and was quite simple to install. This location is easy to get through the firewall and into the engine bay. I really couldn't ask for a better look. Its a great product at a fair price. I would certainly recommend it. Again the location is great for switches and getting through the firewall to the switches at this spot is a breeze!

            Simple and Effective

Fairly painless installation and a good fit. Besides installing the various accessory lights and running their wires, the step that took the most amount of time with the installation was cutting out the holes for the switches.

            Loveable options

I really like the option of the switch pod, but it did not fit as advertised. A little bit off in t mold, but after some tweaking it made it into place.

4 2011 Wrangler - JoshF Installation Time: Less than 1 Hour

            Looks almost stock.

Install wasn't too hard. The only thing they could have done to make it easier is have the knock outs for the switches already out. The reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is that it does not come all the way down where the panel meets the dash. It is not that noticeable but when you start looking at it you can notice it. Overall it is a good product and I would recommend it to anyone that what's a clean look for their switches.

            Works great.

Fits perfectly on my 09 jku, was easy to cutt out and fit my switches into. Plenty of room behind it for wires. Amazing. Price could be a little lower but over all good quality.

5 2008 Rubicon Unlimited - Boss Installation Time: Afternoon

            Too Easy

Received my A-Pillar pod to replace a switch previous owner had installed in dash. Yes someone had drilled a hole in the dash. Very simple to install as the hardest task was finding the correct Torx driver to remove the sun visor. After that nothing to it. Only thing I would recommend different is to scribe the back side of the knock outs for ease of removal. Switches fit with just a little filing. Looks as if jeep installed it. Replacing the previous wiring took longer than installing the pod. Great product and plenty of room for wiring.

Looks and fits like it it came installed from the factory. Love it! Installing the pillar itself takes less than 1 hour. Wiring and setting up lights to it, that's another project.

Love how this blends seemlessly into my interior, the lighted switches are a nice touch for identifying components that are active during day or night.

            Fits great!

Doesn't have that aftermarket look like most parts. Fit up perfectly on the pillar. Each switch has its on light under the color so you know when it is on. I have them set up for my windshield lights and light bar and I love it! Worth every penny.

            Great factory look

Shopped around to find a great switch pod that was functional but matched the factory interior. Matched perfect, only use the switches you need, leave the other blanks intact until you need to add more.
