How to Install RT Off-Road Black Hood Catch Kit - Locking (07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK) on your Jeep Wrangler

Tools Required
- 1/4-inch Ratchet
- 14mm, 13mm and 10mm Sockets
- 1/4-inch Universal Joint Adapter
- 4mm Allen Key
Shop Parts in this Guide
1. Start by removing both hood catches and raising the hood. Next, remove the top half of the factory hood catch by using a 10mm socket and 1⁄4-inch ratchet, remove the two nuts along the inside of the hood.
2. Remove the bottom half of the factory hood catch by using the 1⁄4-inch ratchet, 1⁄4-inch universal joint and 13mm socket.
3. Focusing on the top catch, place the rubber backing behind the top catch and slide into position.
4. Using the 4mm allen key, 10mm socket and 1⁄4-inch ratchet, loosely tighten the two nuts for the top catch.
5. Focusing on the bottom catch, place the rubber backing into position.
6. Using the provided hardware, tighten the bottom catch with the 14mm, 1⁄4-inch ratchet and universal joint.
7. Sliding the top catch up or down, adjust the amount of clamp force you would like for the hood. Once the appropriate amount is set, tighten the top catch.
8. Repeat the process on the other side to complete the installation.
