High Clearance Rear Bumper. The C4 Fabrication Rock Runner High Clearance Rear Bumper with Double Tube Sides; Black is engineered to maximize departure angles for aggressive off-road use. It features a modular bolt-on design allowing customization of side panels to enhance both functionality and appearance. This bumper provides rugged recovery points and a hidden hitch designed to avoid interference with ground clearance, improving towing capability and vehicle versatility.
Construction and Appearance. Made from heavy steel with fully welded 3/4 inch thick D-ring clevis mounts, the bumper is built for superior strength and durability. It ships bare, requiring painting or powder coating before installation to prevent rust, allowing for personalized finishing that protects against harsh environments.
Installation. Installation requires cutting the rear side body panels and moderate fabrication skills. While professional installation is recommended for optimal fitment and function, it is not mandatory. No specialized electronics are involved, but precise alignment is necessary to ensure proper operation.
Application. Designed specifically for 2016-2023 Tacoma models without Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM) and parking sensors, this bumper does not support those features. Due to its high clearance design, the spare tire must be relocated from its OEM position.
