I'm Ryan, from extremeterrain.com. And this is my review of the Barricade Xtender Net System, fitting all 2007 to 2016 four-door JKs. This will not fit on your two-door JK. There are a few benefits to running a cargo net on your Jeep when you don't have your hard top or soft top installed. Everything from keeping your pet and your cargo in the Jeep, to that safari look that some of you guys are after. However when you're installing a cargo net, they generally are designed to strap around the roll bar. And with your four-door Jeep, the roll bar has a pretty good slant to it so you lose some cargo space. This setup is designed to give you back the full amount of cargo space you would have it you had your soft top or your hard top installed, but give you all the other benefits of running a cargo net. The sport cage on a four-door JK has a lot more of a slant to it than the two-door does. And while some of you guys like the fastback look that it provides, it definitely does cut down on cargo space if you have one of those frameless tops installed. The idea of this system is to give you a frame to install the cargo nets on so that you retain all of the cargo space that you would have otherwise lost. The kit includes the frame itself, that's designed to be completely bolt-on. And the cargo netting that's designed to fit over top of it. These cargo nets are the same high-quality cargo nets that are otherwise available from Barricade without the frame if you decided to go that direction. So they're gonna be triple-stitched, made out of a high-quality nylon, and include all of the buckles and hooks that you need to get them installed on the Jeep. Now as I mentioned, you can't use your existing cargo nets and just put them over top of this frame. Of course the nets are gonna be a different shape and size. So you do have to purchase this as a kit. However if you have a mesh top that goes over the front and your passenger, or a cargo net that goes in that area, you can use that with this kit installed. Another benefit of this kit is that you can leave the bars and the netting installed underneath of your factory soft top or hard top, just like you would be able to with a frameless cargo net. The installation of this kit is really easy because it's designed to be completely bolt-on. The frame attaches to the sport cage with the included U-bolts, and then it's just a matter of attaching the netting onto the frame. You want to start at the bottom and you work your way to the top, installing the U-bolts loosely at first, then installing the spreader bar. And then you can tighten everything down. All of the netting will attach using buckles and hooks onto the frame. And you're done. The whole process shouldn't take more than an hour, and you won't need any specialty tools. Just a wrench to attach the nuts on the U-bolts. This system is going to be more expensive than other cargo nets, and that should be expected. There's a lot more hardware included with this, than there would be with a regular cargo net that's just designed to wrap around the sport cage. However if you need the additional storage space or the additional headroom for your pet in the back of the Jeep, this is a really nice system. It's a pretty unique setup, and in my opinion, it's worth the money if you need that additional space. So if you like the look and the utility of a cargo net system on your Jeep and you don't have the factory hard top or soft top installed, but you don't like the loss of cargo space that you have with that setup on your four-door JK, this system solves your problems. It's a little bit more expensive than a cargo net would be by itself. But because of everything it includes and the problem that it solved, I'd say it's a pretty good bargain. So that's my review of the Barricade Xtender Net System, fitting all 2007 to 2016 four-door JKs, that you can find right here at extremeterrain.com.

This was really the only product I could find to maximize my space and still have the netting option. The product was simple to install and it appears the initial quality is good. Only time will tell how it holds up in the elements.

I love the net with extender. Now I have peace of mind that my dog cannot jump out and with the extender, he has plenty of head room. Easy to attach to car. Love it.
