How to Install a Barricade Tail Light Guard on your 2007-2017 Jeep Wrangler JK

Installation Time

30 minutes

Tools Required
  • phillips screwdriver

Contents:

(2) - tail light guards
(8) - rubber screw buffers

Care:

Wash with mild soap.

It is recommended that you have an additional person available to help during this installation, parts can be awkward to hold and support by yourself. Block wheels and set parking brake before beginning work. Disconnect the negative (-) batter cable.

Remove the (2) inner phillips screws from the tail light lens. Keep these seperate, they are different from the outside (2) screws in step 2.

Remove the (2) outer phillips screws from the tail light lens. There will be a plastic trim piece behind the light that will become loose, be sure to secure it while removing the screws.

Hold the light face up and lay (4) of the included rubber screw buffers into the screw holes in the lens. Keep the lens facing upward until the guard is on.

Place the guard over the light and (A) install the (2) outer phillips screws. This will hold the rubber screw buffers in place. Place the tail light back onto the vehicle and reinstall the (2) inner screws. Do not overtighten the screws.
