Hey, guys. So today, we're here with the Axial Tri-Bar LED Fog Lights, fitting all 2007 to 2018 JK Wranglers. So if you're in search of an upgraded replacement for your factory fog lights, and you're looking for one of the most affordable options on the page, this is going to be right up your alley. These will be great for the JK owner who has a burnt-out fog light, or has damaged a housing while they were out on the trail, or just driving around on the street, and is looking for a fully upgraded replacement. These will even do great if you already have any other LEDs on your Jeep already or if you have a set of headlights and you're looking for a set of fog lights to complement them. Now, as you can tell, these will have a bright white LED light that's going to drastically improve your lighting performance if you seem to be lacking that with your factory fog lights, and you're looking for better visibility while you're driving around at night. Not to mention this will have a sleek, black housing and that tri-bar design will give it a more modernized look, upgrading the styling on the front end of your JK.Now, with that being said, these are going to, again, be one of your more affordable choices coming in at roughly $90 which you really can't beat. Now, I personally think this is a very straightforward and no-fuss design that gets the job done and looks very good while doing it. Now in comparison to some other choices, again, this is going to be a little bit more simple when it comes to the design. Now some other choices on the page may include a different design, including a halo, or they may have an amber color, or they may have a multi-color function design. However, if you're looking for one of the most affordable choices that gets the job done, and again, looks good while doing it, this is going to be right up your alley. When it comes to install, these are going to be incredibly easy to get into your bumper. I'm going to give it a one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter. This install is completely plug and play so you won't have to do any additional wiring. Like I said, this is a no-fuss design, you're just going to need some very basic hand tools and probably 30 minutes to an hour to get the job done. So speaking of that install, let's jump into that now.The tools that I used for my install were an electric ratchet, an 18-millimeter deep socket, a 3-inch extension, and a Philips head socket. So the first step to this install is to take off the upper and lower splash shield. You will need a trim removal tool, or a clip removal tool in order to do that. We do not have that on our Jeep. So our next step is to unplug our fog lights. So our next step is to remove our bumper, so we need to remove the eight nuts that are holding our bumper to the frame. I'm going to be using an 18-millimeter deep socket.I'm also using a small extension just to clear the bottom on top of the bumper and my electric ratchet, or you could just use a hand ratchet. And we can repeat that for the other six bolts. So at this point, we can remove our bumper. Our next step is to remove our fog light. Now, this step will depend on your hardware. We have Phillips head screws holding in our fog light. You may need to use an 8-millimeter socket in order to get your hardware out, it will depend. I'm going to use a Phillips head socket in order to take out our hardware. There is going to be four screws around the fog light itself, and we're going to do this on both sides. Once those four screws are out, we can completely remove our fog light, and we can install our new one. Now we can install our new fog light exactly how the factory one came out with our factory hardware or the hardware that you have in your bumper. Again, I'm going to use that Phillip head socket in order to tighten those down. I would be mindful not to over tighten them, making sure that it's secure, but not over tightening them because the plastic will break if you screw down the screw too tight. So at this point, we can repeat this process on the other side. So before we hop into the rest of the install, I do want to stop down and tell you guys a little bit more about these new fog lights side by side with our factory ones and show you some of the similarities and the differences between the two, and why upgrading to these new fog lights is going to be a big benefit over the factory ones. So right off the bat, you can tell that these are going to be completely different not only in the way that they are styled and the housing, but this is also going to come with some newer technology that's going to improve your lighting performance. Now just as a brief overview of our factory fog light, we have a plastic housing and a chrome reflector lens, we also have a plastic lens here, and that is going to be great for stock applications. However, when it comes to styling and lighting performance, it's really not going to perform as well as this LED. Not to mention, the factory fog light is going to be a halogen light. Not only is it not going to shine as bright as an LED, but it's also going to have a warm or an amber-ish hue to it that just gives it a less modernized look.So moving over to our new option. This is going to have a stealthy, black housing giving it a very sleek look and matching with any other darker black accessories that you have on your Wrangler. And it is still going to have a plastic housing, however, this is going to be a lot more durable than the factory one. This is also going to have a polycarbonate lens right on the front, so it will be able to take a hit while you are off-road or from any kick up on the street. And these will be IP68 rated which is a step up from the standard IP67. So no dust or water is going to get in and harm the LED.Now, speaking of that LED, we're going to have a nice tri-bar design that is not only going to give you some extra style, but it is going to allow the lighting performance to be a lot better than the factory halogen. That LED inside is going to be a bright white color temperature. So again, you are getting a more modernized feel, you're getting an updated feel, and it's going to look a lot better mounted inside your bumper than the factory fog light. And that LED is also going to have a more uniform light pattern, so it is going to disperse a lot more evenly, and again, improve that lighting performance. And you're also getting a plug and play setup. These are going to be incredibly easy to install. There's really no-fuss, there's no additional wiring that you have to do, just kind of screw them in like you saw before, and then you're all good to go. So speaking of that, let's go ahead and install our second fog light. Now, at this point, once both of the fog lights are installed, we can reinstall our bumper, lining up the studs with our frame, and pushing it through the frame. Then we can go ahead and secure our bumper back down the same way that we took it off by securing down those eight nuts on those studs there. We can just take our factory hardware and secure that back down.Once they're on, we can tighten them up with that 18-millimeter socket. We can repeat that for the other six studs. And then all we have to do at the end is just plug in our fog light, making sure that it clicks, and then we can store it back underneath. Now it may be beneficial to grab a zip tie and make sure that these are out of the way. You can usually store them inside this crash bar here. But it is nice if you grab a zip tie and clean them up. Then we can do the same thing on the other side. So that's gonna wrap it up for my review and install. Make sure you like and subscribe.
