I keep seeing reference to this giving a 3 inch lift. The 2" lift is exactly where I want to be for my 2017 JKU. I'm hoping to get as large of wheels then without re-gearing - ideally something close to a 34". Does this truly hit a 2" lift?

    • The Old Man Emu 2 in. Heavy Load Lift Kit w/ Shocks will provide 2-2.5 inches of lift depending on aftermarket mods.

      NOT WHAT I EXPECTED

I HAVE BARRICADE FRONT and REAR BUMPERS, WINCH, HEAVY TIRE CARRIER AND HEAVY TIRE and WHEEL SETUP. WANTED A 2 IN. LIFT AND THIS SOUNDED JUST RIGHT. LIFT HEIGHT ENDED UP BEING 3 INCHES AND THE RIDE IS A LITTLE ROUGHER. ALSO HAD NO INSTRUCTIONS THAT I COULD FIND. NOT SURE WHAT I WILL DO BUT I MAY GO BACK WITH THE FACTORY SPRINGS AND SHOCKS.

      OME does it for me

Got this lift for a 2016 Wrangler, it would have been a little easier to do with basic instructions. Shipped fast, boxes were in drug down the road shape, but everything in good shape inside. The ride is a lot better, bought the heavy load for towing our RPod trailer, should remove the swaying of factory suspension. Wife's not too happy, she has to get a running start to get in :). Overall for the price its a good buy.

      2 inch ome lift

This is an awesome lift. Overall the ride quality seems to have improved from the stock ride. I will say this lift with stock bumpers etc ends up higher than 2 inches. I did not need brake relocation kits. I do highly recommend adjustable track bars and sttering stsbilizer though. It makes life much easier on the install and helps with the overal stability.

Great Lift, INSTALL WILL MAKE YOU RETHINK IT

I got this lift. all the parts a high quality but it came with NO INSTRUCTIONS AT ALL. Luckily i found a write up that was helpful. i was luck the hobby shop where i work on my car had spring compressors otherwise they would have NEVER fit. SERIOUSLY consider brake line extensions this is bigger then 2 inches and my lines are almost always uncomfortably tight. If i did it again get a different lift but get these shocks.

      Excellent but not specific!

This is an amazing lift, the ride quality is excellent and better than stock. I cannot comment on install since a shop did it for me. However, if you’re buying this for. 2 door I recommend two things, go 37’s and be ready for a high lift. This lift is normally sold as “heavy load” and if you’re rig isn’t carrrying roof rack and winch it will sit higher than 4 inches.

      Lived up to the hype

Installed it on my own in about four hours. Everything lined up well and went on fairly easy. Gained more height than 2" even though I'm running heavy front and rear bumpers, 10k winch, dual battery etc. Ride is comparable to stock, perhaps slightly better.

This has been a great suspension, but it did end up giving me 3”of lift. Because of the greater lift I had to purchase a track bar, front lower control arms, and break line extensions for the rear.

      Nice quality lift.

Had this lift installed on my 2014 Rubicon last week. Added 285/75-R17 tires at the same time. Install took the shop about two hours. Lift appears to be high quality components and the stall was straight forward. I have after market steel front and rear bumpers with a tire carrier and a 10,000 winch installed and I still saw almost 4" of lift after the install. It was a little higher than I wanted (wanted between 2"-3") but hope in will settle a little bit after some more use. I live in Southern Utah so I have plenty of opportunity to hit the trails. Happy with my purchase and Extreme Terrain had the product at my door in just a few of days. Would of gave it five stars but the higher than expected lift height took one star off.

      Great lift at reasonable price

Installed on a 2013 4 dr. JK with heavy after market bumpers with winch. Mounted 34" T-A TKO2's no rubbing and better then original ride, I researched many other lift kits and decided on the Old Man EMU Heavy Duty. The advertisement said may need steering stabilizer mounting bracket (FK50) but it was not necessary. Even with the heavy bumpers and winch I see closer to three inches with a perfect level. No regrets on purchase.

      Great lift!

This was a real nice lift that didn't really require any speciality tools. Took about 6 hours to do but be aware that you'll need the exhaust spacer for this lift. My exhaust connection bolts were rusted beyond recognition and I had to use a plasma torch to cut the nuts off the flange. That took the most time of the entire process!

      Nice suspension

Great lift. No directions, but jeeps are pretty easy to figure out even for a backyard wrench turner like me. This is a gentle lift. I got 2 inches of lift. I did not want to have to get into the suspension geometry going over a few inches. The ride on the street and handling is much better. My 33inch tires rubbed on hard left turn to the stops. I got the rough country adjustable track bars as well and this corrected the issue. All and all I am very happy with the stance and ride of the jeep. You will not be disappointed with this OME lift.

      JK's BEST BET

BOUGHT OME 2 1/2 HD lift after tons of reviews and off road shops recommendations. I will say was told by experts and owners to replace track bars with adj my choice of(teraflex monsters f-r)synergy sway links f-r and 3/4 terra flex front spacer/front lower bump stops.Took full day as I am older and wrenches and vision are not as swift, but average time.I travel on freeway, back roads, off road, for hours at a time.Ride is excellent on and off road, handles responsive, with 3/4 spacer sits level at honest 2.75 lift.(2 dr hardtop, steel bumpers, winch Rubicon stud trans) shocks smooth, rear bump stops as provided.BUY THE BEST IT'S YOUR MONEY WELL SPENT.

      Great Suspension

I installed this kit on my 2014 Unlimited Polar Edition. The ride quality is great for daily driving - the suspension is much more responsive than stock. The responsiveness makes the trail experience much better as well. I felt like I didn't get tossed around as hard after installing this kit. The install was straight forward minus the track bar relocation bracket. It didn't even come close to fitting and I had to drill out the factory location so the new bolts would fit. It was also hard to tell what this kit comes with. It has bump stop spacers for the rear, but not the front. Also, an adjustable front track bar is needed to properly align the frame and body with the front axle. Other than those couple of items, this is a great kit and I couldn't be happier with it. My jeep looks great and drives great.

      Aussie's do it right!

Installed this kit on Saturday. The instructions are not clear about the cam bolts and how difficult this step is. Otherwise the rest of the installation and function are top notch! This kit fit perfectly on a 2014 JKUR (15k miles), with 35x12.50R17 tires and 4.5" BS rims. Everything flexed perfectly and no rubbing anywhere. I was able to pull the front tire off the ground by 29.5" and still did not hit the fender (front or rear). On-road ride is awesome. Cannot wait to push it in the dirt.

      Excellent suspension for the JK

I spent a lot of time reading up on lift kits and kept coming back to this for many reasons. OME lets you dial in the exact load for your JK; there are three options for the 4 door alone. After the install I noticed a tremendous difference in the ride, especially off road...it's miles better than stock. With the HD lift, it brought my JK up almost 2.5"; I am running 33's with no issues and plan on putting on 35's after flat fenders. You just can't go wrong with an ARB product tested in the outback! I have really put this suspension through the paces and must say I am very pleased.
