With this lift what is the biggest size tire can you have?

    • Hello, I would recommend a 33" tire size just to make sure there is no rubbing or clearance issues.

I have a 2017 Hardrock rubicon with steel bumpers. I plan to run it stock with perhaps added heavy duty diff covers. Should I purchase the light or heavy version lift? I read the reviews that stated they had closer to 3-4" lift and don't want too much lift since I'm only running 33s (285/75/17). Thank you.

    • With the Old Man Emu 2.5 in Lift kit. we recommend the light load kit unless you are running aftermarket steel bumpers, as the OEM steel bumpers on the Hard Rock are not as heavy as aftermarket off road bumpers. Due to this, you will not experience the suspension sag common on Wranglers equipped with aftermarket bumpers.

Is this kit complete? Do I need anything else to get up and running well?

    • The Old Man Emu 2 in. Light Load Lift Kit w/ Shocks (07-17 Wrangler JK 4-Door) will be a complete kit and no additional parts would be needed.

I have new 2018 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited (17" rims) and use for my daily driver - almost exclusively on-highway. Do you have a kit that will provide for a much smoother highway ride from this thing?

    • This Old Man Emu 2.5 in. Light Load Lift Kit would be perfect for improving ride quality for daily driving.

I own a Rubicon Hard Rock edition. Do plan on getting a winch installed on factory bumper. Currently have full safari rack installed. Should I go with light duty or heavy duty system?

    • Thank you for you question! If you are planning on mounting a winch, I would recommend the heavy duty kit instead. The heavy duty lift kit would be able to handle the added weight of the winch and potential new add on's, such as aftermarket bumpers, etc in the future.

With the OME light kit, do you recommend also adding exhaust spacers and geometry correction brackets? I've read that since the shocks aren't as long flexed as some of the lifts closer to 2.5" (e.g., TF), that you won't need all the additional components like sway bar links and brake relocation brackets. Thank you again. 1 answer
What are the part # for front and rear springs in this kit? 1 answer
Have a 2016 Jeep JKU Rubicon. From all that I have read I Am Confused on the light load vs the heavy load lift. ARB rep recommended light coils for the front and HD for the rear. However, they do not make a kit for that. I have a lightweight AL front bumper w/winch. Think only 65 lbs for the winch. the bumper is lighter than stock. I have a hardtop w/Gobi roof rack. Future rear bumper w/o tire carrier. Will go to 34x10.5 tires at the most. Which is only about 6 extra lbs for the spare. I have added a transmission skid plate. I've read that the HD is quite bouncy if you do not have all that extra weight. I'd like your opinion on which kit, the sport or the HD? 1 answer

      Jeep JKU 15 Install...

I installed this lift on a 2015 JKU. After 8 hours of perfecting every bit of the install it looked perfect. This lift is sitting at 3.25 inches after install on a factory JKU sport that’s got nothing stored inside and has a hard top. Instructions online are missing the pan hard relocation bracket and bump stops. -Bump Stops are installed on the rear.. -Panhard Relocation bracket is installed on the rear.. -Make sure to torque everything down with a torque wrench and get an alignment at the dealer when you are done.

Review from Old Man Emu 2.5 in. Light Load Lift Kit w/ Shocks (07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK 2 Door)

      2010 islander

Install was straight forward on rear you do need to put load on rear to get bottom of shocks to line up front was a little more time to figure out due to length of new springs and to top shock bolt an adjustable track bar would have made putting back together a lot easier ride has definitely improved over stock got ful 2 1/2 inches with steel bumpers on front and rear sons friend had a lift in his garage definitely helped

Smooth ride with Old Man Emu

Easy installation with a Good Friend 4.5 hours. Took it on some middle of the road trails here in Arizona, exceptionally smooth ride on the wash boards and dips.

      Great lift.

Replaced my TF budget boost with this lift and couldn't be happier. Rides much better.
