Now, what I really like about this is that it meshes very well with the interior and looks like it came there from the factory while retaining the dash storage for any smaller items that you wanna keep track of.It's also made of an injection-molded ABS plastic construction with an OEM style, a lightly, texture of black finish on top, again, matching very well with the rest of the interior. Now, the phone mount will also be adjustable. It's on a ball and socket-style attachment here. So you can position it and lock it into place to your own personal preference. I also really like the fact that it's gonna have a quick release down at the bottom, making it very user-friendly. And there's gonna be some rubber pads to help grip the phone, so it's not gonna slip, and it's also going to protect it from any minor scratches. Now, the best part about this is that it's going to be super easy to install and require no modification of the dash, which we will show you in just a couple of minutes.Now, first, when we take a look at the price, this is going to be pretty affordable for the convenience that this offers at roughly $50. Now, comparing it to other solutions, I like the fact that this will look OEM. It's not going to be intrusive or in the way like a suction cup mount or a bent mount. And it's not going to be a full dash kit that may consist of a lot of storage as well as attachments for devices. Now, those dash kits are going to offer additional storage, but if you don't necessarily need this for storage, you're just looking for a placed amount of your phone, then this, in my opinion, will be more for you.Now, what I will say is that there are others very similar to this, but they may have a slightly different design, especially in the phone mount, some will offer charging capabilities, this one does not. However, if you don't necessarily need that, it's not a big deal. This is also going to have that quick release, like I mentioned before, some others won't have that. So if you are looking to keep it pretty simple and just get the job done with a sleek-looking phone mount, then this is gonna be right up your alley.Now, install, again, is going to be super easy at 1/3 wrenches on the difficulty meter. Taking you about 10 minutes to get the job done with some minimal hand tools. Now, that wraps it up for me. Let's go ahead and get into a detailed breakdown of the install with one of our guys in the shop right now.Man: Tools required for this install include the included Allen key, Phillips head screwdriver or a ratchet, and 7-millimeter socket. What's up, guys? Today, we're gonna be installing a phone mount on our Wrangler JL, so let's get right to it. So, first, we need to remove this rubber mat and remove two Phillips head screws. There's gonna be one on each side here. So to assemble our phone mount, we have a couple of pieces here. I have this piece, it's gonna go down, get bolted through, and then we have a little trim cover and then our actual phone mount. And they include hardware in the kit that you have to bolt down this piece, as well as an included Allen key for you.So on the backside, we have this little notch for our nut. So we can go ahead and get a finger on that, hold that in place. And then we can put our Allen screw through the top, and tighten it down with our included Allen wrench. Then we can insert our plastic trim cover which has some tabs on the side. And now to install our actual phone mount, we can unscrew this piece, slide it over the ball, and then press this into place.And then tighten our screw back up. And now we're ready to install this in the Jeep. And now the only thing left to do is to reinstall our two screws. So now we can reinstall our two Phillips head screws, Phillips head screwdriver. You could also use a 7-millimeter socket for this.
