Hey, guys. Adam here with extremeterrain.com. And today, we're taking a really quick look at and installing the Alterum Center Console Shifter Bezel Trim in red, available for the '11 to '18 Wrangler JK. Simply put, you should be checking this out if you're looking for some really easy to install custom interior styling just to spice up the interior look of your JK. Now, our JK here is primarily black on the inside, so adding this red shifter bezel trim is gonna add that nice pop of color to give it that custom styling.Now, this isn't just some vinyl overlay, this is a really nice, billet aluminum shifter bezel that's made with a red anodized finish. Now, the red finish is nice and vibrant, and adds that pop of color, and it's got a chrome trim all around the exterior edges, both around the actual shift pattern and around the bezel itself. So, it adds a nice pop of that mirror-like shine to it. That's gonna contour perfectly to the inside of your shifter bezel, and it's gonna hug the P, R, N, and D labels as well. So, everything is visible as it was from the factory, just with a little bit of extra styling.Now, this guy is gonna come in right around 25 bucks, so, it's super affordable while also making a huge impact on the interior look. Now, the install is gonna get, obviously, one out of three wrenches on our difficulty meter. It's just gonna use a sheet of 3M on the back of it, so you just clean off the area, peel, and stick. It's that easy. And it's gonna be on for the long haul. But any time you wanna peel it off, you obviously could just put something underneath of it, pry it up, and toss it aside. Either way, I'm gonna show you guys what it looks like in terms of the install process. It'll take you about two, three minutes from start to finish. Let's get started.The only thing you'll need for this install is a soap and water mixture, and a squirt bottle, and a microfiber or an alcohol wipe.All right, the install is gonna be extremely simple. First thing I recommend doing is grabbing soap and water, or you can use alcohol wipes, and a microfiber. And we're just gonna clean off the area where that 3M is gonna apply. You wanna make sure you're getting rid of all the dirt and dust so the 3M gets a really good bond. And you really only have to worry about the trim all the way around that shifter route here. All right. So, once you have that taken care of, give it a second to dry. The trim itself is split here, that's not damaged, that's so you can get it around the actual shifter knob. Now, in order to get this installed, you're basically gonna flip it over and you're gonna peel off the 3M backing. Now, after you do that, try not to touch the sticky part, because you don't wanna get the oils from your skin on the adhesive. Stick to the edges. From there, you're gonna wrap this guy around. I'm gonna start at the bottom here. Line this guy up with the bottom trim, work my way up, making sure it's hugging all of the letter bezels. And then stick it into place.
