Specs. The Ride Side rear Grande 35 axle shaft from Alloy USA is an incredibly strong axle made from durable 4340 Chromoly. This material was selected because of its high tensile strength, heat-treatment, tempering, and induction hardened. These axles are as much as 40% stronger than a typical stock Wrangler 1040 axle. The manufacturer has taken advantage of the latest cold splining technology. The result is splines that are stronger than typical spines. The axle shaft is then precision CNC machined and mangaflux inspected to make sure there are no cracks. It is completed with a slick, black, anodized finish. This axle is covered by a very generous 10-year warranty from the manufacturer. Note that this product doesn't include bearings, seals, or studs and that it does require an aftermarket 30 spline differential. It's made for use with a 1987 – 1989 Non C Clip.
