    Function. The AIRAID SynthaMax Dry Replacement Filter is the perfect solution for your vehicle's old or worn-out paper filter element. It provides sufficient airflow and ensures improved filtration for improved performance.

    Design. This filter features a durable reinforced urethane casing that efficiently seals the edges of the factory intake box and resists warp or cracks. It is easy to install and is washable and reusable.

    Fitment. This AIRAID replacement filter is designed for use in 2012-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK models. Some modification to the OEM air box is required for installation.

            Air filter

            Did the replacement filter and Magnaflow exhaust both at same time. Overall gas mileage increased by about 3 mpg. New filter installation required some trimming on filter housing and filter gasket.

            i like it.

            you have to trim the intake area of your air box. also you need to trim the outer edge of the rubber seal around the filter. both are not a big deal. I saw just under 1 mpg improvement. I would say this was a good purchase.

            Modification was required for my '15 JK

            I am not a mechanic, far from it, but I can definitely feel a benefit to my JK's responsiveness. At higher road speeds, the RPMs read lower for the same MPH than they did before the mod.

            easy upgrade

            Filter design much more efficient and cheaper then the popular brand. The inlet mod takes 30 minutes or so but is well worth the airflow gains. The 5 star performance gain is of course relative :-)

            Airaid Dry Filter

            This product really helped my supercharger breath a whole lot better. The install did require some trimming on the air box but the instructions made sure to get the right cut point. This plus the exhaust opened up more power for my JKU and it all sounds so great.

            Airaid Replacement Filter

            The filter looks good, and is packaged well. The instructions are minimal, better photos would be helpful. The instructions didn't mention that you will need to trim around the filter for it to fit properly. I messed with trying to get it to fit for ten minutes before I said screw it and trimmed it up and then it was fine. Haven't had it long enough to see if improved fuel mileage or if performance is improved. I doubt there will be noticeable improvements but I do feel it has better air filtration.
