      For all 2007-2018 JK WranglersIf you have deleted your tire carrier, or have switched to a heavy duty tire carrier there is a plastic vent left on the tailgate, and it can make the tailgate look unfinished. This option by JKS is for the JK owner looking to clean up the look of their tailgate by covering the vent, but still allowing airflow to the cabin.This will also do a great job at protecting the tailgate from getting any mud and debris in it damaging the tailgate over time. At the moment this will be an affordable option at the moment for a vent cover at roughly 50 dollars.5.0 on customer reviews Other option on the site will be pretty similar to this one, however most will have their own brand stamped on the back, and other choices will have the option for a license plate relocation.This does not offer the relocation, however this will definitely clean up the tailgate and get the job done. Install is a very easy one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter. Compared to the stock vent, these will allow the same exact function by allowing air into the cabin with the louver design. Unlike the stock one, this JKS cover will be a lot bigger, cover up the whole area that was taken up by the stock tailgate, and provide more protection. This is made from CNC formed, laser cut, 18 gauge steel with a black powder coat finish on it so this will fit very well, be very sturdy, and resist any rust or corrosion on the metal. This will also just make the tailgate look a lot better, and provide some better style than this plain old stock vent. This will even come with a 3rd brake light wiring socket if you wanted to keep the 3rd brake light option. You will have to take out the plastic vent.This will re-use all of the factory hardware. (8 13mm bolts)
