2000 Wrangler TJ - $5,000 Build Sweeps Winner – Feb 2017

2000 Wrangler TJ - $5,000 Build Sweeps Winner – Feb 2017

Casey’s Sweepstakes Story

“I got my TJ in 2002 to use as a work vehicle that I would use to pull my cargo trailer (that was my excuse anyway). I just always wanted one. It had all the basic stuff and needed improvements which I gradually did over the years. Eventually I found ExtremeTerrain to buy a roof rack and basket and a 4" lift kit. The Sweepstakes was offered, I entered not expecting anything as I have never won anything like this. When Jake contacted me with 'Congratulations, You've won!' I really didn't think anything of it at first...How can that be? I said to myself...but it was true.  A little hesitant also to send tax information, but I did and sure enough I received a phone call then immediately afterwards a $5,000 credit on the site. Whoa!!.... I told all my friends, some of them twice.”

The Build

rom the outside looking in it may not look like Casey did a lot to his TJ, but most of the work went into making his rig more reliable. Casey did everything underneath his rig including overhauling the front and rear axles, gears, rear driveshaft, and a limited slip. On the exterior, he went with some much-needed headlight and taillight upgrades, Barricade Rear Bumper w/ Tire Carrier, and Barricade Winch. Casey finished up his build with a couple of interior and exterior accessories.

Life After The Build

“Now that the build is done I feel as though I have a new Jeep. Bumpers, Winch, Axles, Limited Slip Differential and gears. So many upgrades it's hard to say which I like the best.

During selection process I had a real hard time deciding what to get. I appreciate their patience. Tried to be practical and choose performance products but did get a few things for fun like a subwoofer console.(it does have a locking hatch and is made of steel...practical)

Went out with some friends on an old wagon road deep in the Cascades to a 19th century gold mine. Though a little harrowing at times due to steep cliffs and super narrow pathways, my Jeep met the challenge at every turn. I also get lots of looks, waves of course, and comments...Hey! nice Jeep! People walking by in a parking lot and staring then a nod and smile. Really, though, I just love jumping in my Jeep in the morning, starting the thing up, and racing off into the day in a vehicle that is a blast to drive and thanks to Extreme Terrain, they have made that experience even more enjoyable. The overall experience for me was great. Super big Thank You.”
