The Volant Closed Box Cold Air Intake with Air Scoop and MaxFlow 5 Oiled Filter is the cold air intake you want when you’re looking to maximize the delivery of cold air into your Tacoma’s engine. Specifically, this cold air intake features a larger closed air box and specially designed air scoop as well as the high-performance MaxFlow 5 air filter. These engineered elements work together to redirect higher volumes of cold air into your engine. The result is more complete fuel combustion for improved horsepower and torque.
Re-Tuning of ECU Not Needed. This cold air intake’s unique design is responsible for its offered performance gains and does not need an ECU re-tune. Still, it’s always a good idea to re-tune your ECU in the future to get the full performance benefits of this cold air intake.
High-Performance MaxFlow 5 Oiled Air Filter. This cold air this intake also includes the MaxFlow 5 oiled air filter. This air filter is outfitted with a unique 5-layer cotton gauze filter media capable of outstanding filtration without restricting airflow. Additionally, this air filter is also reusable, requiring maintenance and re-oiling only after 40,000 miles.
Heavy-Duty Build Quality. This cold air intake’s inlet tube, air box, and ram scoop first start out as computer-generated designs before getting injection-molded from premium polyethylene.
