This cold air intake achieves this by combining an efficient air intake system and a high-tech maintenance-free PowerCore air filter. Specifically, these components work together to provide your engine with large quantities of cold, clean air. The result is more complete fuel combustion to improve power and torque.
ECU Re-Tuning Not Required. This cold air provides your Wrangler with its performance gains via its specialized free-flowing design and less restrictive air filter without requiring an ECU re-tune. Still, it’s always a good idea to re-tune your ECU in the future, as this process can certainly help maximize the performance of the new intake on your vehicle.
Advanced PowerCore Air Filter. This cold air intake includes the high-tech PowerCore dry air filter. This air filter employs a filter media made from proprietary multiple layers of Ultra-Web nanofiber media. This filter media provides 99.7% filtration efficiency without compromising airflow. What’s more, this component is fully maintenance-free, making it a convenient choice.
Wear Resistant Build Quality. The cold air intake’s air inlet tube is made from high-grade black polyethylene using an advanced precision molding process. This ensures the tube’s inner structure is free from turbulence-producing areas. Likewise, its airbox is precision molded from the same high-quality black polyethylene, making it particularly resistant to engine bay heat. This enables it to provide the air filter with excellent heat protection. Rounding out its construction is a clear sight window, enabling you to monitor the condition of the air filter without disassembly.
No Nonsense Install Procedure. This Volant cold air intake utilizes your factory air intake location as its mounting area. No drilling or other modifications to your Jeep are needed. Also, standard hand tools and the included mounting hardware are all you need to complete the installation.
CARB Certification Pending. This Volant Closed Box Cold Air Intake with PowerCore Dry Filter cold air intake is not available for use in California, or other states that have adopted CARB standards. Please check local laws for applications where this product is permitted
