Time for a Change. If you have been thinking of upgrading your 1997 – 2006 Wrangler TJ’s ring gears, then the USA Standard Dana 30F/ 44R ring gear and pinion kit is just what you need. Thanks to their forged construction, these gears are surprisingly reliable and long-lasting.
Quality Construction. The ring gears are made of high-quality materials that will weather the test of time. The rings have been forged to exceed OEM’s specifications. USA Standard Dana features robust construction, a CNC cut, and lapped teeth gear design. To add to their overall durability, the ring gears have been finished off with a black oxide finish that is both corrosion and rust resistant.
Recommended Upgrade. Consider purchasing and installing a new Speedometer Gear if you do change the rear axle gear. This is because changing up your rear axle gear will throw off your Wrangler TJ’s speedometer. Buying a new Speedometer is an inexpensive and smart way to resolve said issue.
Installation. The installation process is complicated thus needs professional expertise. We would recommend that you don’t tackle this project on your own – take your Wrangler TJ to a certified mechanic.
