How to Install Tuffy Modular Gear Anchors - Set of Four (87-18 Jeep Wrangler YJ, TJ, JK & JL) on your Jeep Wrangler

Note: This installation was performed on a 2018 JL Jeep Wrangler Sport S. These gear anchors can be affixed to any Tuffy Security Deck.

1. Remove the 4 modular gear anchors and hardware from package.

2. Make sure you have proper access to your security deck, or remove the lid entirely.

3. Determine the configuration for installation. Ensure wherever you decide to place the gear anchors does not interfere with soft-top rollback function, truck closure, or back seats in the upright position. The anchors can be installed in any configuration on the deck and in any position.

4. Once a gear anchor configuration has been decided upon, mark each hole carefully with a marker or pencil and drill pilot holes with your 3/8th drill bit.

5. Place the screw and a washer through the top of the security deck pilot holes and place a nut on the bottom of the screw on the other side. Make tight with a 13 mm socket.

6. Repeat for all other modular gear anchors in the chosen configuration. The final product should look like this, depending on the chosen configuration and placement. Be sure to vacuum all metal shards on top of and under the installation points.
