      Complete Ignition Solution. The Top Street Performance HEI Distributor; Red combines the coil, ignition module, cap, and rotor into a single unit designed for AMC and Jeep V8 engines. It replaces points and external coil wiring to provide a reliable, stronger spark for improved engine performance and ease of maintenance.

      Construction and Appearance. Constructed with a machined aluminum housing and hardened steel dual-bushing system, this distributor ensures durability under demanding conditions. The internal coil delivers 65,000 volts and the distributor features an integrated magnetic pickup trigger, providing a modern, efficient ignition system.

      Installation. Installation is straightforward with a single 12-volt wire connection, requiring no ignition box, external coil, or complicated wiring. No drilling or special modifications are typically needed, making it suitable for restoration and performance upgrades.

      Application. Designed to fit AMC V8 engines 290, 304, 343, 360, 390, and 401, including the 1976-1981 5.0L Jeep CJ7 with a carbureted ignition system. This distributor is not compatible with factory points or 6-volt electrical systems and must be used with a 12-volt alternator setup.
