Important Notes:

Prior to beginning this or any installation read these instructions to familiarize yourself with the required steps and evaluate if you are experienced and capable to personally perform these modifications. A factory service manual should be used in conjunction with these installation instructions.

Refer to the parts list to ensure that all necessary components and hardware has been included. If any parts are missing please contact your local TeraFlex dealer for assistance.

FRONT REMOVAL

1. Raise and support the vehicle with jack stands, refer to factory service manual for support locations. Remove the tires.

2. Remove the two lower shock nuts and bolts with a 13mm. We recommend applying penetrating oil.

Remove the upper nut, retainer and grommet through the access hole in the engine compartment. Remove the shock through the wheel well.

FRONT INSTALLATION

The new shocks are gas charged and will expand on their own. Install a retainer and grommet onto the shaft of the new shock. Install through the shock tower. From the engine compartment, install the other grommet, retainer, washer and nut. Tighten the nut until the grommets bulge slightly.

Reinstall the two lower bolts and nuts, torque to 21 ft-lbs.

REAR REMOVAL

6. Support the vehicle so that it is safe to work beneath.

7. Remove the lower nut and bolt with a 15mm and an 18mm.

Apply penetrating oil. These are captured nuts and a broken bolt here is a real inconvenience. Remove the two upper bolts with a 13mm.

REAR INSTALLATION

Install the new shock into the upper frame rail. Torque to 23 ft-lbs.

Install the lower bolt and nut. Torque to 74 ft-lbs.
