      Description

      Functionality. Enhance your Jeep Wrangler's performance with the Teraflex Performance Big Rotor Kit. It increases the rotor diameter from 11.9 inches to 13.3 inches while still allowing you to retain the factory brake pads and brake caliper.

      Includes. This standard Jeep Wrangler brake kit has a pair of rotors and a pair of caliper brackets.

      Performance. Mill-balanced vented rotors enhance heat dissipation for improved performance. The brackets increase the clamping distance from the centre of the rotor, which enhances the braking leverage and reduces the braking distance.

      Compatibility. This kit is designed for 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK models.

        5 2014 Wrangler - MatthewL Installation Time: Less than 1 Hour

        Great Upgrade

        I knew my jeep needed brakes, but did not realize how much more power I would get from this upgrade. I have a 2014 JKU and the extra stopping really helps. The kit goes on straightforward and the stock caliper slips right into the new bracket. You can quickly swap this in since you don't have to replace caliper to get the increased power. I paired this with some Hawk LTS pads (https://www.extremeterrain.com/hawk-performance-lts-brakes-jk-hb569y650.html) to round out the upgrade. Just follow the break-in instructions and you will really notice the increase in power. Takes a few cycles but then it really bites. Make sure you torque all the bolts.

        PERFECT!!

        Was easy peasy to install and worked great! The rear kit however needs vast improvement. These rotors do not have a black finish like the picture

        5 2013 Wrangler - JoshuaD Installation Time: Less than 1 Hour

        Easly upgraded with big results.

        I was skeptical about seeing any performance results without upgrading stock calipers. But I was definitely wrong. Braking was enhanced dramatically. Simple install. Only extra tool needed that wasn’t mentioned was a large C-clamp to compress caliper piston in for clearance for new pads. No more worries about pulling my boys two four wheelers and cargo through the North Georgia mountains. Awesome product!!

        Teraflex Performance Rotor Kit

        So I installed this kit on my 2014 JKU. Overall the kit is great, I paired it with a set of Powerstop Z36 pads BUT if you also have the Teraflex HD Tie Rod you will need to trim the dust shield as the tie rod push the dust shield into the rotor. The engineers at Teraflex with that tie rod combined with this kit only give you about 6 business cards of space between the rotor and the tie rod....its CLOSE! Other than that, the kit is great! I would recommend the product but just be aware of the modification you will need to make...but what else is new!

        Well made and fits perfect

        I have not used them much but the quality was good and it was a very easy install. Does seem to stop quick already and not really broken in yet so that is a good sign.

        must have upgrade

        i did the teraflex larger rotors front and rear kit, awesome upgrade. i have a jku on 37” tires and braking is better than it was stock. the pedal feel didn’t change at all, but it just doesn’t take half as much leg pressure to brake harder than before. wish i did this upgrade years ago.

        5 2017 Rubicon - Buckinator Installation Time: Less than 1 Hour

        cheap and easy upgrade

        Since upgrading to 35 in tires I decided to get more braking. I have a 2017 Rubicon ( 2 door ). I added both the front and rear kits from Teraflex. They fit no problem with my 17 inch wheels. The install was fast took maybe 2 hours for all four and I was cleaning and putz'n the whole time. My guess it that with the larger and heavier 35 x 17 wheels and tire package my Jeep stops about the same as it did when it was stock. Maybe a bit better. No side effects with the kit. It just made my jeep safer. I wanted to get the large upgraded caliper kits but could not get over the price. since my jeep is set up for off road conditions and I take it off road ( unlike many ) the simple design of the floating caliper single piston system ( and lower price ) was my choice. If I was to only drive on the street and wanted 20" wheels, I may have gone another route. These are not going to give you the sports car type stopping power of the big fixed caliper upgrades. The brackets are well made and directions are easy to follow. I would recommend you check out a few videos on the install before you start the project. There are some simple tips to help you. I would also recommend a new set of pads with the kit.

      Have a 2014 jkr with stock wheels and tires (17 inch rims. 255/75-R17). So tires are 32. Is there any advantage putting this teraflex big brake kit? Will it even fit? Am I wasting money? Everywhere I read, it says 33-35 tires. 37.... nowhere it talks about stock tires. Please let me know what you think.Thank you.

      • I would not think that you would need to do this upgrade unless you are towing. That extra stopping power might be nice if you have a few extra hundred pounds behind you! Otherwise I would not suggest spending the money on this kit.

      I have a '13 JKU with the factor 16" wheels. Is this kit compatible, or would I need to change to 17" wheels?
