Description
Heavy-Duty Axle Assembly. The Teraflex CRD60 HD Rear Axle with Semi-Float, Truss, ARB Locker and Super 60 4.30 Gears for 3 to 6-Inch Lift is a complete axle solution designed to replace damaged or stock axles in Jeep Wrangler TJ models. It offers enhanced strength and durability for off-road applications, providing better torque handling and improved ground clearance that is vital for lifted vehicles.
Construction and Appearance. This axle assembly features a ductile cast iron housing reinforced with rib gussets and a heavy-duty ductile iron differential cover. The axle tubes are made of 3.25" O.D. x 0.375" wall DOM steel for optimal strength-to-weight ratio. The components have a UV protected triple-stage powder coat finish that offers superior corrosion resistance and a sleek appearance.
Installation. Installation requires mechanical proficiency and is moderately challenging, typically taking about six hours. No drilling is required as the assembly is designed for direct bolt-on compatibility, but certified mechanic installation is recommended for best results.
