With CURT’s Tacoma X5 Gooseneck-to-5th Wheel Adapter Plate with Square Shank, you can change that by turning your gooseneck hitch into a fifth-wheel hitch. With a maximum gross towing weight of 20,000 Pounds and a vertical load limit of 4,000 Pounds, this converter fits in the square ball hole in your gooseneck hitch. It offers above-bed rails to allow you to fit a fifth-wheel trailer hitch.
Built for Stability. The use of tough steel in construction is a given with the need to secure heavy loads. However, CURT has gone above and beyond by giving this adapter a double cost of powder-coating and A-coat to guard against rust and corrosion. The integrated rubber pads also prevent the rails from rattling during your journey.
Some Drilling May Be Required. Though this adapter plate comes with all of the hardware needed for installation, some drilling may be required to achieve a perfect fit. You may also need to trim any bed mats or liners to allow for the fitting of this part.
Guarded for Life. With CURT’s limited lifetime warranty, you’re able to repair, replace, or return this adapter if you find any manufacturing or material defects. Note that this warranty only applies to defects caused by the manufacturer.
Application. The Tacoma X5 Gooseneck-to-5th Wheel Adapter Plate with Square Shank is designed to install onto vehicles that have gooseneck hitches with shank holes that are 2.25 Inches or more from the plate surface. The maximum weight capacities are also limited by whatever your lowest-rated towing component is.
Installation Difficulty. The possible need for drilling, coupled with the act of converting a trailer hitch, makes installation suitable only for those with advanced automotive knowledge. You can fit the part in 1-2 hours.
