Hey, guys. I'm Eric with ExtremeTerrain. In this video, I'm gonna give you my review and install of the Supreme Suspensions 2-Inch Pro Billet Hub and Wheel Centric Wheel Spacers in a Set of 4, for all 2005 and later Toyota Tacomas. Now, you should really be checking these out if you want a cost-effective way to add a wider, more aggressive stance to your Tacoma. Now, for those of you out there who are shopping for wheel spacers, and you landed on this video, thanks for watching but let me take a minute to explain exactly what a wheel spacer is for those of you out there who maybe are new to this product and you're checking this out and not sure if it's for your vehicle. Now, basically, all these are, are spacers. Now, when we talk about a factory hub, that's literally where the wheel bolts on to the truck. And these spacers provide a little bit of space between the hub and the vehicle's wheel and that's literally gonna push that wheel out and give your vehicle a wider stance. Now, these spacers are specific to your vehicle, and they're gonna match up to the bolt pattern of your vehicle. So, regardless of whether you're using your factor rims and tires, or you're getting some aftermarket rims and tires, it's gonna be the same bolt pattern. As long as it's specified for your vehicle you're all good. Now, why exactly would you want these other than maybe widening the stance of your vehicle? Now, if you're using your factory rims and tires, maybe that's all you're looking for, and it's a more cost-effective way of doing that. However, if you're also gonna get an aftermarket set of wheels and tires, you can either exaggerate that stance even further using these spacers or some types of wheels out there have different offsets. And if you're gonna have a positive offset, which basically tucks most of the tire and the wheel into the wheel well, these spacers might allow you to push that out a little bit and maintain that wider, more aggressive stance. Now, these spacers are CNC-machined from a solid block of aircraft-grade aluminum and are currently priced under $250. Now, as far as the installation goes, guys, I'm giving these a very easy one out of three wrenches on our difficulty meter. You should budget about an hour of your time using just standard tools that you would use to remove and reinstall one of your wheels. Now, with this kit, they do recommend using red threadlocker, so before we even get into the installation, if you don't already have that, head out to the store and grab yourself a bottle of that. They recommend using that on the threads for the spacer themselves. The other thing I wanna call out about the installation is that you make sure that you torque all of the nuts including the lug nuts that attach the wheel to the spacer to factory specifications that you can find in the owner's manual for your truck. So, with that said, let's go ahead and get these installed. All right, guys, the tools we're gonna use for this installation obviously, you're gonna need a floor jack and some jack stands to lift your truck, but we're also gonna need a 19-millimeter socket for the nuts that are included in this kit. We're using a 21-millimeter socket to remove the lug nuts on our truck, that may vary on yours, and an impact wrench. All right, to get started on our installation, guys, we're gonna jack up our truck using a floor jack, and then we're gonna support it with a jack stand and we're gonna show you how to do that here in a second. And then we'll go ahead and get the driver's side front wheel off this truck. All right, guys, now once I jacked up the front end of the truck here, I put a jack stand underneath the lower control arm for this corner of the truck. After you do that, it's a good idea before you take your wheel and tire off, just kind of give a little bit of a push on your truck. Make sure everything is nice and settled and the truck's not gonna come off of that jack stand that you have it resting on. So, with that said, go ahead, and grab your tool, we're gonna remove this tire and wheel off right now. All right, now go ahead and grab one of the spacers out of the kit. These nuts that are on the spacer already, we're actually gonna use these on here. Now, what you're gonna wanna do is check out your spacer, make sure this surface is nice and clean, and also that the surface around the base of the studs here on the hub is also pretty clear and free of debris. What you want is a nice, flat, perfect meeting up of the two surfaces. Anything in there might throw it off just a little bit and might mess with your alignment. So, just make sure these surfaces are clean and free of debris before you put it on.All right, go ahead and mount the spacer on, guys. And we're gonna use the supplied nuts here to fasten the spacer to the hub. If you have your red Loctite now is the time to put a dab on the threads of the nut here. I'm just gonna get these started by hand for now. I'm gonna tighten these down with an impact wrench, guys. Once I'm done with that, I'm gonna torque them down to a factory spec. Again, make sure you do that with the nuts we just put on here as well as the lug nuts that are gonna hold the wheel to the spacer. All has to be torqued down to the factory spec that you'll find in your owner's manual. Now we're gonna go ahead and mount our wheel back on. All right, now I'm gonna use my air-driven impact wrench guys, we're gonna tighten these up. And it's always good to go in an opposite pattern like that just to make sure it cinches up nice and tight and it's not kinked at all. And of course, torque these down to factory spec. All right, guys, so the steps we just did here of course you can repeat for every other wheel on your truck. And that's gonna bring this review and installation to a close on this Supreme Suspensions 2-Inch Pro Billet Wheel and Hub Centric Wheel Spacers in a Set of 4 for all 2005 and later Toyota Tacomas. For all things Tacoma, keep it right here at extremeterrain.com.
