Hey, guys. It's Sara with extremeterrain.com and today we have a review and install of the Steinjager Rear Trail Tube Doors in Black fitting your 2018 and newer Jeep Wrangler JL Unlimited. These rear off-road tube doors feature one and a quarter inch tubular steel construction with a black powder coat finish. These doors include a quick-release pin and cable to keep your doors secure when you're off-roading. These doors are perfect for those who want their passengers to feel like there's nothing between them and the trail when off-roading but want a little bit more protection than going doorless.Coming in at around $245, these are the most budget-friendly way to get rear tube doors on your JL. Now, they're not quite as seamless to operate as some of the more expensive options, but the install is extremely simple. So, if you're looking for a quick and easy way to get tube doors on the rear of your JL without breaking the bank, these are a perfect choice. I'm giving this install one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter. It features a direct bolt up installation and can be done in approximately 30 minutes. With that said, let's jump right into our install. For this install, we used: A 3/8 drive ratchet, a small extension, a T50 Torx socket, a T40 Torx socket, a five-millimeter Allen key, and a trim panel removal tool. All right. So, the first step in our uninstall is to remove the bolt at the bottom of these hinges with a T50 Torx. Now, no matter what you read online, you do not wanna take them out here. So, using the T50 Torx, loosen these up. All right. So, now we're gonna open our rear door and take the last bolts out holding our hinge in. Using a T40 Torx bit, remove the bolt that holds in this part of the hinge. Now, the only thing holding your door from swinging all the way back out is the strap. We're gonna take that out now. Using a trim panel removal tool, get under the bottom part here and pull straight out. And now you can pull down. Once that piece is out of the way, remove the strap from the hook here and you also have to disconnect this connector. Now, the door can swing freely. At this point, we can lift the door upward so we can get it out of the hinges. All right. With our factory door uninstalled, we can now prep our tube door to go on the Jeep. Using the included hardware, grab the long threaded Allen bolt and a washer and put it to the outside of the door. The other side is gonna be the other washer and the clamp that's gonna go over our door. We're gonna leave this loose for now and then tighten it up once it's on our Jeep. The final step before we install our door is to install this cord and the pin. Just like any other key rings, you just pry it apart and slide the cable through. So, now we're gonna wrap it around our door so we don't lose the key ring. Let's get it installed on the Jeep. With the hardware installed on our tube door, we can now get it installed on the Jeep. All you do is slide these pins into the hinges and then close the door. Make sure the eyelet is lined up with this part of your door and slide it over. Grab your pin, then install it. Now, you can get the five-millimeter Allen key and tighten this down. All right. Now, we can repeat that process on the other side. All right, that's gonna do it for the review and install of our tube doors. Remember, for all things Jeep, keep it at extremeterrain.com.
