Parts List
1- Intake tube
1- 889610 Filter
1- Heat shield
1- 3” coupler
3- Hose clamp
1- Coupler sleeve
1- 3” grommet
1- ½” grommet
1- 17” rubber seal

Step 1: Safety first! Before you begin the installation, make sure that the vehicle is in park with the parking brake set. Disconnect the negative battery terminal and verify all components listed are present.

Step 2Disconnect the air temperature sensor by releasing the locking tab and disconnect.

Step 3: Disconnect the crank case vent hose from the stock intake.

Step 4: Loosen the hose clamp that secures the stock intake tube to the throttle body, then remove the intake tube from the throttle body.

Step 5: Lift up the air box assembly to remove entire unit which is held in place by grommets.

Step 6: Remove the 3 grommets from the factory air box cradle.

Step 7: Remove the air temperature sensor from the stock intake tube. Use care in removing this as it is fragile and will need to be re installed into the new intake.

Step 8: Install the supplied grommet into the hole located on the new Spectre intake tube. Reinstall the air temperature sensor into the grommet hole.

Step 9: Install the coupler sleeve onto the throttle body.

Step 10: Install the coupler over the coupler sleeve on throttle body and fasten securely with the supplied hose clamp. Install a second clamp but do not tighten at this time.

Step 11: Remove the three 10mm screws as shown.

Step 12: Dress the heatshield with the 3” grommet and the rubber seal.

Step 13: Install the heat shield as shown using the hardware that was removed in step 11.

Step 14: Install the air intake tube by passing the filter end through the housing. Align the throttle body end of the tube with the coupler. Once the tube is aligned, fasten securely with supplied hose clamp. (Silicone based lubricants help locate the tube in the grommet.)

Step 15: Connect the crank case vent hose to the intake tube fitting. Reconnect the wiring harness for the air temperature sensor.

Step 16: Install the Spectre air filter and fasten securely with the supplied hose clamp. Ensure that all clamps and hardware are fully tightened at this time.

Step 17: Start the vehicle and let it warm up. Shut off and inspect the installation once more for any loose clamps or wires. Test drive & enjoy!
