How to Install Smittybilt XRC Front Bumper w/D-Rings on your 1987-1995 Wrangler

NOTE: Carefully read entire instructions thoroughly before attempting to assemble and/or install this product.

Step 1: Remove the factory front bumper from vehicle by removing the two top and the two bottom bolts. (Figure A) Save these bolts for use later.

Note: On YJs (87-95) it may be necessary to grind down the welds slightly on top of the frame in order to get the bumper to slide back over the frame and align mounting holes.

Step 2: Position the new bumper on the front of the vehicle. Line up the holes on the frame with the slotted holes on the bumper brackets. Attach the bumper to the frame using the supplied bolts. (Fig B,C)

STEP 3: Make sure all bolts are securely tightened. Installation is now complete.

NOTE: There are two 8mm Hex Bolts, washers and nuts included to mount fairlead to the bumper.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

To protect your investment it is recommended to regularly wash and wax this part. Do not use any type of cleaners that contain abrasives that may damage the finish
of your part.
