How to Install a Smittybilt Black Vinyl Standard Brief Top on your 1987-1991 Wrangler YJ

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

Before you begin, the temperature of the Brief should be above 70 degrees Fahrenheit. We suggest laying the Brief in the sunlight for 1 hour before installation.

1. Locate the front edge and fold over (Figure 1).

2. Place the Brief on top of Jeep. Insert folded edge into Windshield Channel, working from one side of vehicle to the other (Figures 2 & 3).

3. Lay the back of the Brief over the central roll bar and pull the rear corner straps. Loop the straps around the rear side roll bar and attach to mating buckle (Figure 4).

4. Locate the Velcro straps on each side of the roll bar. Wrap the straps around roll bar and fasten. Do both the driver and passenger sides of the vehicle (Figure 5).

5. Locate the center strap along the central roll bar. Run the center strap around the rear and under the central roll bar forward to the Footman Loop near the top center of the windshield. Run strap through Footman Loop and feed strap through its buckle securely (Figure 6).

6. Re-adjust Velcro and tighten all straps to assure a wrinkle-free fit.
