How to Install a Smittybilt Textured Black SRC Rocker Guards on your 2004-2006 Wrangler Unlimited TJ

NOTE: Please read this information before installing. To obtain correct installation, we recommend you to follow these step by step installation instructions carefully. Please take care when installing this product to protect the finish and your investment. DRILLING REQUIRED

Step One: Locate hardware and check contents with the hardware listed below.

1         Side Guard Set (Left and Right)
16       3/8” x 1” Self Tapping Bolts

Step Two: Position the Guard up to the frame. Maintain a ½” minimum between the bottom of vehicle and the top of the Guard. Move the Guard from front to back till is parallel to the side of the frame. Also make sure it is parallel to the bottom of the vehicle. Assistance is recommended while positioning Guard up to frame.

Step Three: Mark the side of the frame through the mounting holes located in the Guard Bracket. Then place Guard aside. Center punch the frame where you marked and drill a 5/16” hole in the frame. CAUTION: Before drilling be sure to check the backside of the frame for possible hazards or obstructions.

Step Four: Position Guard back to the frame and line up holes in the mounting brackets with just drilled holes in the frame. Secure the Guard to the frame with the included 3/8” x 1” Self Tapping bolts. Fully tighten all hardware at this time. Be sure to use all hardware supplied and tighten all bolts.

Step Five: Repeat steps two through four for the opposite side.
