I'm extremely skeptical on the weight of the bumper. For awhile ,now I've been looking for a bumper for a lightweight JK build and this caught my eye. I became very interested until I looked at the winch less version and saw that it weighed in at about 75lbs. Do you guys know if this bumper is actually 33lbs?

        • Yes, the Smittybilt SRC Classic Front Bumper w/ Winch Plate is actually 33lbs.

Can a stinger bar be welded onto this? If so what brand would be best

        • A Stinger could be welded to the Smittybilt SRC Classic Front Bumper, however we have not done this, so we do not have any information as to which stingers would work best.

great bumper! went on in an hour, no issues. taking the old plastic splash off allows 295/70/r17 with no rub. re- used the stock plastic spacer from the bumper to the grill to help cover the winch plate till i get one and it looks clean.

            Okay bumper

This bumper is less quality then a cheap amazon bumper. Bolts along bottom do not line up and it does not fit correctly. Would for certain pay the extra couple hundred

            Great bumper for the money

Had to do a lot of modification of the crash bar (cutting and grinding the lower corners) to get it to fit, but now it's on there really snug. Very heavy duty. The specs for this say its about 35 LBS. The one I have weighs 75 LBS, I weighed it before I installed it.

            Love the classic look

Very easy install with a good drill and 1/2in bit. Side note if you have a newer jk you will need too drill out your bracket holes. I didn't have too for some reason. I have a 15jk. It's still very simple and looks great.

poor fit-up but overall a nice looking bumper

The fit-up was beyond minor modification. The holes had to be drilled to roughly 11/16" and I had to re-use the stock bumper backing plates as the bolts would have gone through the large holes. The cross member (Crash bar) had to be ground down and still the bottom lip of the bumper would not fit over it correctly. I purchased the gen2 X2O winch as well. The rear bolt holes (closest to the grille) would not work as the wiring was being pinched between. I had to move to the mounting holes closest to the front which caused the winch to bind with the top plate on the bumper, It had to be forced down which gouged my winch casing. The d-ring holes were not reamed evenly so I had to open them up slightly for the 7/8" d-ring pins to go through. So finally after hours of hard work and quite a bit of modifications the bumper is now mounted and looks very nice. Maybe I received an odd ball bumper or just have a one off jeep?
