I'm Ryan from ExtremeTerrain.com, and this is my review of the Smittybilt Neoprene Seat Covers fitting all 2007 to 2016 JK's. These are available in your choice of four different colors, either the black you see here, charcoal, tan, or red. And they're available for all body styles and year ranges so make sure you get the ones that fit your Jeep.I like seat covers like these for a couple of different reasons. These are really good for those of you who might have an older Jeep that has a worn out seat that you want to cover up and make look new again without the cost of completely replacing the cover that's currently on the seat. These are also good for those of you who are looking to protect your seats that might be in your newer JK because seats do take a good bit of wear and tear. And finally, these are a really nice inexpensive way to completely customize the look of your interior. So if you're looking for a high-quality seat cover to do any of those three things that's really fairly priced, I think these are a nice option. These neoprene seat covers are really well built and they're designed to install really easily in the Jeep and they'll also uninstall really easily so you can throw them in the washing machine if they do end up getting dirty. Now one of the most important things about a seat cover in my mind aside from durability and how well they're going to hold up over time is how they fit. You don't want a seat cover that's going to be baggy and wrinkled and it just looks sloppy and unfinished. These are going to fit really tight, they're not going to have any wrinkles in them, and they almost look like they're factory once you get them installed on the Jeep. Now even though these are neoprene and there's some bad information out there about neoprene, these are not going to be waterproof. They are water resistant and they hold up well to wear and tear, but they're not going to be completely waterproof. Another thing about this material and really any material that any seat cover is going to be made of is that it's not going to completely resist fading. So Smittybilt and I both recommend that you treat this with a UV protectant to keep it from fading. Some colors are going to be more resistant to fading than others but the black and the red are definitely going to fade unless you take care of them.Like I said before these are designed to install really easily in the jeep even though they're a tight fit. The first step in the process is to install the seat backs, then the seat bottoms, and finally the head rest covers. These will install with a couple of different straps, some hook and loop fasteners and some buckles, all to keep them really tight. When you first take these out of the box they might have a couple of wrinkles in them from the packaging but don't worry. Those will work themselves out after you use the seat covers a couple of times. And like I said you'll definitely want to treat these with the UV protectant before you even get them installed in the jeep. The whole installation process shouldn't take you more than an hour and you won't need any tools at all.As with most products, there are certainly seat covers that are more expensive than these and ones that are less expensive. But with something like a seat cover that does take a lot of abuse, especially that drivers seat every time you get in and out of the Jeep, you're putting wear and tear on your seat cover, you're going to want to spend a little bit of money. Those bargain basement brands, they're not going to hold up well. They're going to wear out, they're not going to look good right after you install them and certainly not after your abuse. In my opinion, these are really fairly priced for the quality of the product and for how well they're going to hold up, especially if you take care of them.So if you're looking to protect your new interior, cover up an old worn out one, or just completely change the look of your jeep, this is a really nice option for a seat cover that's going to hold up well over time and isn't going to completely break the bank. So that's my review of the Smittybilt Neoprene Seat Covers fitting all 2007 to 2016 JK's that you can find right here at ExtremeTerrain.com

It's not RED
I ordered this for my husband's Jeep thinking red will look good on his white Jeep. Turned out it was more like pink and we both are very disappointed.Helpful (4)

The red in these are more like maroon. Does not match Jeep red at all.Helpful (2)

Perfect fit but the color was dark pink not red.
Sadly we had to return the item but the customer service was excellent.Helpful (2)

Definitely not red.
The color was definitely more of a maroon or a deeper red than the true red that I saw in some of the customer photos. The air bag flaps are too small so they just hang outside of the seat, and the head covers do not fit properly, about a half inch of the original head rest shows on the back.Helpful (2)

Red? More like magenta!
The quality of these seat covers seems great! Although we never put them on the seats because when they arrived they were clearly not red. These seat covers are a true magenta color with pink and purple undertones. If you are looking for dark pink seat covers these will be awesome for you but they, unfortunately, do not fit the aesthetic I am going for. Luckily, I was able to return these and reorder them in black.Helpful (2)

I originally purchase the red and black seat covers. Once installed the color did not compliment my red Jeep! To be honest I believe this color is more garnet. I immediately was able to return and replace with the all black and I love them!!!Helpful (2)

I am very happy with these seat covers! They fit great! The colors are not pink like some described but more red than anything. I put these on myself in less than an hour so I am not sure why some ppl were having a lot of difficulty. I put the back on first, used duck tape to cover the velcro so it would slide through easier and not stick onto the fabric, and a paint stick also helped to push it through. The bottom seat cover wasnt hard at all, just pushed the buckles through more towards the center of the seat seemed easier. And with the seat back at a 90. We got in some serious mud and I even took them off already and threw them in the wash, sun dried them and put them back on again! Cant tell they are seat covers really! Definitely recommend them! Will buy again!Helpful (4)

Not the best fitment or design
The seat covers do not cover the seat around the top of the cushions around the hinges.(where the seats wear the most) The straps are too short on one end, leaving the buckles and extra strap hanging down in plain sight of the rear seat passengers. The side airbag covers are too small to remain tucked in. They are flapping around like dog ears.Helpful (2)

These are amazing, definitively worth every penny. They offer a big of cushion and they look amazing, have received many compliments on them already.Helpful (2)
The red looks slightly different from one picture to the other. Is this firecracker red or more like a maroon red?
The Smittybilt Neoprene Front & Rear Seat Covers would be closer to firecracker red than a maroon red.
How does the fabric hold up in heat? I live in Arizona.
If you are going to be exposing these seat covers to the sun a lot we would recommendyou treating the seats with a UV protectant to help with fading.
DOES DOG HAIR COME OFF EASILY ON THESE SEAT COVERS?? OR DOES IT STICK TO THE MATERIAL
The Smittybilt Neoprene seat covers are very resistant to catching dog hairs. And those that do hold on can be removed with a roller or wash.
Do these seat covers make a difference with absorbtion of heat from sun? I have leather seats and although I want to protect the leather i would also at the same time like to get some seat covers which wont “burn” you when you get into Jeep while it has been out in the sun.
These covers will be cooler than the leather. Though they will heat up with the sun, they will not burn you like the leather will.
What is the warranty on these seat covers?
These would be covered for 30 days
Yes, the seat covers have an opening for the side airbags, just make sure to select your correct year range.
These seat covers are not waterproof, but they are water resistant. These will only fit the 07-18 JKs, they will not fit the JLs.
The red in the Smittybilt Neoprene Front & Rear Seat Covers are closest to a wine red, and would be similar in tone to a Red Rock Crystal Pearl Jeep. These two will not be identical in color, but close in tone.
The Smittybilt Neoprene Front & Rear Seat Covers are safe to use with heated seats and should be spill resistant since the fabric is Neoprene.
Yes, we have had customers install the Smittybilt Neoprene Front & Rear Seat Covers with leather seats.
Hello, yes, the seat covers have an opening for the side airbags, just make sure to select your correct year range.
The section of the Smittybilt Neoprene Seat Cover's that make contact with your OEM seats are made of the Cordura fabric and the Neoprene fabric is all of the exposed, outer fabric that you would sit on.
Hello, the Smittybilt Neoprene Seat Cover Set Front/Rear - Red (07-17 Wrangler JK) will work with the Height Adjustment Handle, it tucks behind it so it can still be usable.
