    Review & Install Video

I'm Ryan from ExtremeTerrain.com, and this is my review of the Smittybilt Neoprene Seat Covers fitting all 2007 to 2016 JK's. These are available in your choice of four different colors, either the black you see here, charcoal, tan, or red. And they're available for all body styles and year ranges so make sure you get the ones that fit your Jeep. I like seat covers like these for a couple of different reasons. These are really good for those of you who might have an older Jeep that has a worn out seat that you want to cover up and make look new again without the cost of completely replacing the cover that's currently on the seat. These are also good for those of you who are looking to protect your seats that might be in your newer JK because seats do take a good bit of wear and tear. And finally, these are a really nice inexpensive way to completely customize the look of your interior. So if you're looking for a high-quality seat cover to do any of those three things that's really fairly priced, I think these are a nice option. These neoprene seat covers are really well built and they're designed to install really easily in the Jeep and they'll also uninstall really easily so you can throw them in the washing machine if they do end up getting dirty. Now one of the most important things about a seat cover in my mind aside from durability and how well they're going to hold up over time is how they fit. You don't want a seat cover that's going to be baggy and wrinkled and it just looks sloppy and unfinished. These are going to fit really tight, they're not going to have any wrinkles in them, and they almost look like they're factory once you get them installed on the Jeep. Now even though these are neoprene and there's some bad information out there about neoprene, these are not going to be waterproof. They are water resistant and they hold up well to wear and tear, but they're not going to be completely waterproof. Another thing about this material and really any material that any seat cover is going to be made of is that it's not going to completely resist fading. So Smittybilt and I both recommend that you treat this with a UV protectant to keep it from fading. Some colors are going to be more resistant to fading than others but the black and the red are definitely going to fade unless you take care of them. Like I said before these are designed to install really easily in the jeep even though they're a tight fit. The first step in the process is to install the seat backs, then the seat bottoms, and finally the head rest covers. These will install with a couple of different straps, some hook and loop fasteners and some buckles, all to keep them really tight. When you first take these out of the box they might have a couple of wrinkles in them from the packaging but don't worry. Those will work themselves out after you use the seat covers a couple of times. And like I said you'll definitely want to treat these with the UV protectant before you even get them installed in the jeep. The whole installation process shouldn't take you more than an hour and you won't need any tools at all. As with most products, there are certainly seat covers that are more expensive than these and ones that are less expensive. But with something like a seat cover that does take a lot of abuse, especially that drivers seat every time you get in and out of the Jeep, you're putting wear and tear on your seat cover, you're going to want to spend a little bit of money. Those bargain basement brands, they're not going to hold up well. They're going to wear out, they're not going to look good right after you install them and certainly not after your abuse. In my opinion, these are really fairly priced for the quality of the product and for how well they're going to hold up, especially if you take care of them. So if you're looking to protect your new interior, cover up an old worn out one, or just completely change the look of your jeep, this is a really nice option for a seat cover that's going to hold up well over time and isn't going to completely break the bank. So that's my review of the Smittybilt Neoprene Seat Covers fitting all 2007 to 2016 JK's that you can find right here at ExtremeTerrain.com

      Great fit

These were easy to install and fit great! They look like they were made for the jeep. We didn't like the black cloth seats and our dogs hair was impossible to remove. These will also be much easier to keep seats clean when off road. Well worth the price.

      They're ok

The seat covers are all right for the price. The tighteners are kinda weak and don't hold as tight as I would like them too. The overall stars would be higher if I could have snug them up more

      Worth it

I was looking for a seat cover that didn’t have the appearance of a typical cover, and that’s exactly what I got with these. They fit great (tough to install, but that’s why they look so good once your done), and make my seats look new again.

      2011 Jeep Wrangler Sahara

Just installed these last night. To the individuals that installed these in an hour, kudos!! The back seat wasn't too bad. The front seat was a nightmare! Getting the seat clips through the narrow, very tight gap was frustrating! The back rest cover is a whole different story. The cover slides on easy enough. Getting the velcro part through gap sure didn't happen. I followed the suggestions in other reviews: put duct tape over the velcro, slide cardboard between the cover and the gap. I was able to get the velcro tucked in enough that the cover shouldn't move. However, there is not way the velcro tail is fitting through the back rest and seat gap. Overall, the covers look nice, feel nice.

      Seat covers

Seat covers look great. Went on very easy with my wife’s help. Took less time than I expected! Great fit. They look like the original seat . Can barely tell it’s a cover. Very comfortable too. This was a great purchase. I’m very happy with it. Would definitely recommend this to any Jeep owner.

      Great quality for price

I'm extremely happy with my seat covers, Great Fit, I know they'll fade but I'm more concerned about my seat fading/staining (cloth black seats) rather than the cover.I also read alot of people use tape over velcro, to get it through crease in seat, I used a micro fiber rag, stuffed through back of seat, leaving enough of the rag on back side to grab....stuck velcro to rag and pulled it back through,..worked excellent! Took me about and Hour to install front and back.

      Excellent protection

The material is thick and covers the seats almost entirely while accommodating side air bags. Installation was straight forward. I found it helpful to fold the velcro flap around my finger tips so it doesn't snag on the seat when pushing the material through. The fit is snug, they stay in place and the tightening straps are greatly preferred over elastic attachments I've had in the past.

      Great fitting covers

Got these to protect my leather seats in my 08 JKU. I also live in AZ so a cover over leather is a must IMO. They seem like good quality material and have some foam padding which is a nice addition. I was a little disappointed when a note in the package said they needed to be treated with neoprene protectant or they will fade, you would think for the price they would do it for you or at least include a bottle with it. PIA to instalI, much easier with 2 people. They fit great though! I would recommend

      Nice look, but...

I like the feel of the covers and the look is sharp, but you'd think they'd figure out how to have them fit better. The seat backs on the front have "extra" slit/flap openings on the side (for some unknown reason) and the flap opens all the time when you reach for the seatbelt. The front seat bottoms aren't "right" at the outside seat adjuster and look bunched instead of clean. I have a 2014 and the seats have been the same since 2007 so I was disappointed the covers weren't more accurate in their design and fit.

      Looks good

The fit was very good, a BIG COMPLAINT is how the covers velcro on top from the front to the back. Smittybilt should have made the velcro flap come from the front side of the cover so it would look as a cleaner install. One other issue i had with this set was that i had two of the connectors that latch underneath the seats to tie the front and back pieces together kept popping apart if i tried to tighten them too snug. I threw away the headrest covers as they looked really stupid installed. if they fixed those two things i would give them 5 stars, as it is i like the overall appearance and fit. It took me about 1.5 hours to install and the other reviews i read were very helpful with their installation hints.

      Good look

The install went very well, little hard to get the pieces through the seat between the back and bottom but that may just be my seats. The only thing that keeps me from giving 5 stars is after sitting overnight with windows rolled up they made the interior smell awful when I opened the doors the next morning. Otherwise they fit perfectly, look great and will now keep my seats looking better. Would recommend to others.

Smittybilt Neoprene Seat Cover Review JK 4 door

This set was for the JK 4 door 2009. They fit and look exactly like the advertised picture. Very snug, the headrest covers are a little looser then I like them to be, but overall looks really good. The installation was fairly easy, take your time and work each side evenly and they will go on nicely. One of the plastic buckles that snap under the seat came defective, not a big deal, I had one from an old pack I had that worked. Definitely will protect and save the stock seats.
