Review & Install Video

I'm Ryan from ExtremeTerrain.com, and this is my review of the Smittybilt Neoprene Seat Covers fitting all 2007 to 2016 JK's. These are available in your choice of four different colors, either the black you see here, charcoal, tan, or red. And they're available for all body styles and year ranges so make sure you get the ones that fit your Jeep. I like seat covers like these for a couple of different reasons. These are really good for those of you who might have an older Jeep that has a worn out seat that you want to cover up and make look new again without the cost of completely replacing the cover that's currently on the seat. These are also good for those of you who are looking to protect your seats that might be in your newer JK because seats do take a good bit of wear and tear. And finally, these are a really nice inexpensive way to completely customize the look of your interior. So if you're looking for a high-quality seat cover to do any of those three things that's really fairly priced, I think these are a nice option. These neoprene seat covers are really well built and they're designed to install really easily in the Jeep and they'll also uninstall really easily so you can throw them in the washing machine if they do end up getting dirty. Now one of the most important things about a seat cover in my mind aside from durability and how well they're going to hold up over time is how they fit. You don't want a seat cover that's going to be baggy and wrinkled and it just looks sloppy and unfinished. These are going to fit really tight, they're not going to have any wrinkles in them, and they almost look like they're factory once you get them installed on the Jeep. Now even though these are neoprene and there's some bad information out there about neoprene, these are not going to be waterproof. They are water resistant and they hold up well to wear and tear, but they're not going to be completely waterproof. Another thing about this material and really any material that any seat cover is going to be made of is that it's not going to completely resist fading. So Smittybilt and I both recommend that you treat this with a UV protectant to keep it from fading. Some colors are going to be more resistant to fading than others but the black and the red are definitely going to fade unless you take care of them. Like I said before these are designed to install really easily in the jeep even though they're a tight fit. The first step in the process is to install the seat backs, then the seat bottoms, and finally the head rest covers. These will install with a couple of different straps, some hook and loop fasteners and some buckles, all to keep them really tight. When you first take these out of the box they might have a couple of wrinkles in them from the packaging but don't worry. Those will work themselves out after you use the seat covers a couple of times. And like I said you'll definitely want to treat these with the UV protectant before you even get them installed in the jeep. The whole installation process shouldn't take you more than an hour and you won't need any tools at all. As with most products, there are certainly seat covers that are more expensive than these and ones that are less expensive. But with something like a seat cover that does take a lot of abuse, especially that drivers seat every time you get in and out of the Jeep, you're putting wear and tear on your seat cover, you're going to want to spend a little bit of money. Those bargain basement brands, they're not going to hold up well. They're going to wear out, they're not going to look good right after you install them and certainly not after your abuse. In my opinion, these are really fairly priced for the quality of the product and for how well they're going to hold up, especially if you take care of them. So if you're looking to protect your new interior, cover up an old worn out one, or just completely change the look of your jeep, this is a really nice option for a seat cover that's going to hold up well over time and isn't going to completely break the bank. So that's my review of the Smittybilt Neoprene Seat Covers fitting all 2007 to 2016 JK's that you can find right here at ExtremeTerrain.com

Love them but pain to install

Love the seat covers, Perfect fit and look great. Only reason for 4 stars is the installation of the front seats. There is very little room in between seat to push all material through without Velcro sticking to seat. The back covers came with an added fabric attached to bottom cover that you could push through easily and then pull on that for the rest to come theough. Wish the front had this as well, would have made installation much easier. I would reccomend sewing on a piece of fabric to help pull through the bottom front seat covers, if not be prepared for a headache !

    Get these!

I was looking for covers that would be a tight fit - I had already had those universal ones on and they kept sliding across the seat with every move I made. That does not happen anymore! These are such a good fit they look like they are the seat.. I'll tell you this - I had a tough time fitting the driver side back piece in between where the seat bends, and ended up cutting my finger because it had to be jammed through. That's how tight they fit, haha! Highly recommended, and the extra padded feeling you get the first time you sit in the seat makes you take a pause and enjoy it!

    Pretty decent covers

I am only writing a review on these because when I was looking I couldn't find any good reviews, details or pictures. I will add some pics of the back of the covers ( these are the ones I wanted to see but never could find. I am very happy with these seats so far. Just got them last week so cant speak for fading or wear. Although they recommend spraying with some UV protectant to resist fading. The look and fit is great for the base and back for front and rear seat. the only issue ( very minor ) is the head rests don't have a draw string to tighten or Velcro. So they just slip on and the fit at the bottom is not perfect but its very good. As opposed to the fit of the backs and base and back seat are perfect on my seats. 2008 sahara 2 door. Install is easy and <1 hr for me. Two things of note during install. 1. The tops have Velcro that you push through where the base and back meet. Put duct tape on the Velcro or it will get stuck and being extremely difficult to get through. Not my idea, saw it on a forum somewhere. Thank you whoever that was. 2. Where the back and base meet is extremely tight and you have to push the covers through. I used vice grips and pulled it through. Saves your fingers. 3. Straps and buckle stitching is not the greatest, so just need to tighten carefully and not go Hulk on them. I broke the clip on the strap. Good news is it's the same clip that was on my kid's Barbie bike helmet strap. Not sure what happened to it...just saying. But all in all very happy with the covers for the price and would buy and recommend for sure.

    Impressed

Like everyone says, they can be a bit of a pain to put in but I only had issues putting in the bottom portion of the front seats. I followed some guidance on these reviews as well as a guy on YouTube where I first shoved a piece of cardboard through the middle of the seat so the velcro doesn't get caught. If you do that they aren't that hard to put in.There is a lot of tugging and pulling to get them just right but for the price they look amazing. They almost look like they came from the factory.

    Excellent quality and decent fit

Everyone asks me if the seats are covers or if they are the original cloth material- so the appearance is awesome and they look perfect with the Rhino grey. I gave 4 stars because the backseat is not as snug as the rest of the covers and they slip a bit after sitting on them. If there was an inch extra material or even some elastic I think they would stay. Keep in mind I'm being picky about the fit (says the hubby). I would definitely purchase again.

    Great product

Great fit great price. The only negative is you have to tuck the front seat rear skirt up under the seat cover to be able to hook the Velcro of the upper seat cover. Kinda exposes the seat track. Not a big deal really I'm just a little pickey

    Neoprene Seat Covers

Good looking and relatively inexpensive seat covers. They do a good protecting my interior from my dogs and kids alike. Yes, they are a bit warm but that is what your get with neoprene. The underseat buckles are pretty flimsy and make it hard to get a tight fit on the bottoms. That shortfall keeps these from being more highly rated.

    Great looking seat covers

I bought these seat covers for a 2008 Jeep Wrangler Sahara Unlimited. The front seat had a small rip in it and I felt like I needed to find something to be able to cover him and make it look a lot nicer. I found these neoprene seat covers here on extremeterrain and the pricing very reasonable plus the reviews were great. Once they came I put them on immediately it took about an hour little over and the front seat was a little difficult to put on especially trying to push it through the bottom and the top part of the seat there's a trick I figured out how to do that. When you get it save the plastic that the seat covers came in and use it by shoving it through the bottom and the top of the front seat. The plastic now will cover up the fuzzy part where the velcro on the seat cover gets stuck on when you're trying to shove it in between the top and bottom of the seat. It's still tight to get it through but it goes through so much easier because that plastic allows it to slide through rather than trying to fight the velcro going across that fuzzy section of seat. Once the seat covers were installed they looked amazing there was a a small amount of wrinkles in the fabric , but the next morning when I went out and took a look, they were all gone. These seat covers fit very snug and are very comfortable. I highly recommend getting the these for your Jeep. Price and quality are great.

    Seat covers are O.K.

The front seats were difficult to get on because of the Velcro strip. You need to pull it through between the seat and the Velcro catches. The backseat instillation was pretty easy.

Seat covers look great, fit is a little off as the snaps at the rear of the seat keep coming off because as you pull them tighter they unhook. Otherwise well worth the price.

Bought these for my JKU 4 door wrangler. They come in several pieces which got a little confusing, but other than that the installation is easy! They are comfortable and great quality, and they look nice. Perfect for protecting the seats from the dogs and the toddler. Would recommend.
