These monotube shocks will give you the right range or compression and travel for those extremely rugged terrains. And what’s more, you’ll get back the handling and steering performance and ride quality lost when you lifted your Jeep.
Monotube Shock Construction. Your Jeep will benefit greatly from a monotube shock upgrade like the SkyJacker M95 shock. For one, the large diameter bore of 46 mm will allow for increased fluid volume resulting in faster heat dissipation. Next, the floating piston driven by a high-pressure nitrogen gas will eliminate cavitation, which can cause premature shock fade. Finally, this shock comes with an exposed piston rod, which has been chrome-plated to protect it from rust and corrosion.
Multi-Directional Installation. Another great advantage to a monotube shock is the 180° directional mounting. This means that you can install this shock without worrying about the angle of the shock. With a few hand tools and some minor mechanical know-how, you’ll be able to finish installation within an hour or two.
