Engineered to perform, each Black MAX damper has an increased fluid capacity for improved damping, as well as Skyjacker’s proprietary Foam-Cell Technology, ditching a traditional nitrogen charge for an expanding foam cartridge that matches shock oil expansion to prevent the formation of air bubbles.

Maximum Corrosion Resistance. Each Black MAX shock is finished in a stealthy black-on-black design. The shock body itself is coated in black, corrosion-resistant paint to resist chipping and rust, while a matching black dust boot prevents contamination and pitting of the shock shaft, leading to premature wear.

Improve Steering Feel And Driveability. On a solid axle front end, steering stabilizers vastly improve driveability and performance, especially after installing oversized tires. In stock form, Jeep CJs may experience bump steer and steering wander, especially at higher speeds. Installing a quality steering stabilizer greatly reduces these symptoms by tying the steering linkage to a solid part of the chassis, increasing the force necessary to pull and tug the wheel out of alignment.
